Apparently, G36c is outclassed by other (better) guns like M16 and AK-47. That gun deals about the same damage as M4. As you can see, I prefer high damage weapons like M16 (40-30), AK-47 (40-30) and M14 (50-40). G36c only deals about 30-20 dmg.... totally not my kind of gun.

Off topic:
Er... AR15 IS in the game.... if you read up some firearms history. Eugene Stoner, an engineer at the ArmaLite corporation, initially designed the AR10 (stands for ArmaLite Rifle 10) to replace the M1 Garand as the standard issue battle rifle for the US military. But then the US military prefer it's competition, the M14 to be the M1's replacement. So Stoner began designing a newer rifle based on the AR10 and rechambered the rifle to fire the new (at that time) 5.56x45mm cartridge. This new assault rifle (battle rifle uses full powered cartridge assault rifle uses intermediate cartridge) was eventually adopted by the USAF as the M16.

So long story short, AR15 = M16
