wanna ask...i used "autotune" on gainward 4850 and it reached 688/1188 with reference cooler....played CoH and COD4 nicely...(highest detail somemore)
that was when i just got it for a few weeks...tweaking the fan speed to 50% ...idle temp = 54C, full load =78C but nowadays i dun clock so high ady..haha...scared card burn... but then why the "autotune" function clocks it so high? Is it ok? This post has been edited by picksickrick: Sep 1 2008, 08:22 PM |

the thing is i've never tried benchmarking...so i dunno if you'd say it's stable...
i prefer seeing the in game performance...since everything is nice in game..so it shud be fine... so far so good... This post has been edited by picksickrick: Sep 2 2008, 01:25 PM |

the 390W psu i really dunno weii....
i didnt know if its ok but it works...so i guess it's fine? I'm just using the CCC 8.8...nothing overboard cuz i'm only using reference cooler.. Hellgate London? i dunno if it's really a stupid game but i like it cuz it's kinda like Diablo...lolz....games are subjective...either u like it or hate it...maybe i'll grow to hate it later...see how la i'm using marksman...haha... yup tried on alot of games(CoH,COD4, NFS Carbon, Hellgate, Biohazrd4..all highest detail)...(if taht's what u mean on full load)..with music on.....highest temp with full load is 84C ..i didnt manage to snap the screen but that's it. does it has to do with it being Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 390W ?? blank screen? the very first time i change my CCC frfom 8.7 to 8.8 ...i experience my first blank screen in Hellgate...at 688/1188 ...2 times...zzz....then after that i never up so high dy...
i do think it's more of the problem of driver instead of card. So nowadays i'm running at a lower clock...665/1165 so if anyone still got prob with blank screen why dont you try change the driver back to 8.7 see if the prob still exist? |

QUOTE(melvintcs @ Sep 9 2008, 04:52 PM) ya..my casing fan is slow and i duno where to increase the rpm... there's no way if u increase the fan speed to 70 per cent and still no sound. 100% will sound like a vacuum cleaner...so imagine how 60% will be?and yes, i admit tat my airflow inside the casing is sux...full of hardware..and i still using the old dvd drive and hdd tat with big size..make my space more small now i increase the gc's fan to 70% and i still hear nothing from it. i double check with the fan and it doing its job... i already download the latest driver, the problem is still same tat only display 1 rpm and still in very high temp.. so, beside the airflow, is tat still any possible tat may cause my gc's temp till so high? and if i change to a aluminum's casing would it decrease my temp? your card is a sapphire i presume? then maybe that;s why it's so quiet...then it's not a reference cooler lor...since u posted that picture... anyway in ur case is better to get a better airflow in ur pc...no point changing to aluminium.. or try it on other ppl's pc...see how |
