Is it worth buying an ASUS Radeon HD 4850 with Glaciator cooler for RM 659??

Is the price appropriate???

A shop in PENANG is selling it

I'm building a new PC so now I'm scouting for good prices hehe

I tried Gadget Zone but they are only selling the Sapphire version which is crap...

I'm talking in terms of the cooler...duh!!

If I get a 4850 with an aftermarket cooler, I guess I wouldn't need to adjust the temperature manually via the xml file since it's a reference board problem...am I right?

I finally got myself a 4850 with Glaciator cooler (abandoned the Nvidia camp)

Odd though, mine is the 512mb version...I thought the Asus 4850 with Glaciator cooler only came in 1GB flavour





Can't wait to test it...

Is it compulsory to put?? I thought the cooler will be enough to cool it down. NOT planning to overclock...


I got it for RM 625. Did a little bit of bargaining hehe. Soon I'll fire it up, first need to assemble all the parts first.

Do you guys know what is GPU temp (MEMIO) for GPU-Z???

Mine idles at 51 and load at 84 (Crysis)...but the temperature for (MEMIO) is 96 degrees...is that bad or normal???

Crysis has many graphics anomalies in the Reckoning level (last level on the aircraft carrier)

I see black lines underneath other adjacent aircraft carriers....can anyone confirm this as an issue with the game or driver related???
