An update regarding my Gainward 4850 GS, well not exactly about the card.

I switched from Gainward 4850 GS to a Geforce 8600GT 1GB DDR2. Installed the driver and ran 3DMark06. I did this to clarify the problems that maybe due to other hardware in my PC.

3DMark06 ran smoothly with ZERO problems.  This means that my hardware is still working good.

Crysis and DMC4 also ran fine.

Will have an update on my Gainward 4850 GS later today on a different PC.

regarding Gigabyte Superb series , we still cant know how stable it is.

but some of the forumer using it 4 months around , but no problem at all.

btw , anyone using Gigabyte Odin Pro/GT power up their HD4850/70 ?

do you encounter any problem ?

In my view the Radeon HD 4850 series require you to have a 450 Watt power supply unit at minimum if you use it in a high-end system, and I think that's barely on the safe side. Also recommended is 30 AMP's on the 12 volts rails for stable power distribution (on a single card configuration). Notice that the card uses one 6-pin power connector.

I just bought a Gainward HD4850 last week. Try it with Devil May Cry 4, and it gives me black screen while the gameplay is on. I can hear the game sound but the screen is all black. I have tried Catalyst 8.8 and 8.7, still face the same problem. Anyone encounter this problem? How do I fix this?
