I see. Still this you have to decide yourself. Perhaps wait for TK40 to come in then if you are around the area you can drop by at the shop to see, from there only decide what you want to get.
In my opinion since you have one L2D perhaps you can go for a pocket size flashlight or perhaps a bigger & powerful flashlight. Just my suggestion. |

Sorry i can't confirm anything yet as i don't have a unit to try it out as well. But from my guess, the emergency use is only for the high 277 lumens & below if you try to use it for turbo mode 630 lumens either can't be use or the battery will drain super fast. This is what i think only.

Hi, to answer to your battery question first. If you do some research Li-ion batteries will never leak. Normal AA & AAA battery will surely leak however did you notice that nimh rechargeable battery doesn't leak too. As for surefire all the flashlights are using CR123A which is Li-ion that's why no such leakage will happen. Fenix also the same thing using Li-ion unless those AA or AAA supported flashlight.
Secondly, regarding price is only RM5 difference this is not a humongous difference. If it's RM50 difference i myself would be questioning Fenix themselves. If you spend 5 minutes of your time to do some reading & research again. Fenix TK11 is meant for distance throw and TK11 is able to support 18650, 17670 & CR123 battery and this model is favourite choice in tactical use. Whereas TK12 is more for general use meant for close distance only and it only support 17670 or CR123 battery, if you want TK12 to support 18650 battery you will have to purchase a separate tube. |
