Use guitar backing tracks. Here's a list of sites where I get mine from:

These are mp3's so you can use a recording software (I use Reaper) and just add the backing track as a layer, and add your own recording on other layers. Or, you can just put em in Winamp and jam along. But the best is playing with other ppl hehe

if you listen carefully, most of the back track are done using guitar pro(or similar software). it's on different format, but still the same sound.

I always use propellerhead " Reason " for bass and drums.. i think it would be easier especially if composing ur own songs.. besides, we could always control the tempo.. eheh..
