hello people...
i've already bought my iphone for like 3-4 months...
light user... just wifi surf net... sms phone call... iphone games... etc

so now i got 1 problem is that... so far my iphone i havnt got any song music album images etc...
reason is coz i never plug in my iphone into my pc yet. meaning i havnt install my iphone license into my pc. so far i only plug into my office pc for charging and the office pc itune is not latest 1. so it wont ask for license from iphone. just charging there...

reason i don want to plug into my pc and install licenses is because initially i thought im gonna format my pc soon... so im thinking after format only plug in and install. but it's already 3-4 months and i havnt format my pc yet. and now i don felt like formating at the moment as there are too many things to back up... which is why for temporary i wont format yet...

so my question now is... is it okay for me to plug in my iphone and install the iphone license into my pc now???
what if after install my license into my pc already then 1 day i wanted to format my pc??? can i just format it?? will it still let me install my license into this same pc which is formated?? or what should i do anything before i format so that my license can still be installed even after format?? like take out the license? (how?)

hope can get some helps here... a bit scared to install license yet.. coz scared future format and it dont allow me install anymore. >.<
but 3-4 months already, not even a single song inside my iphone. cry.gif

so far i plug into my pc once.. and it detect then when i saw license thingy i straight click "x" and eject out... sweat.gif

There's no license involve with iphone even if you format your pc at any amount. You should be fine plugin your iphone whenever u like and sync with itunes.

If you're talking about usesr agreement from itunes. That's pretty normal. Just follow the procedure and you're done.

Cheers

You must never heard of iTunes. Install iTunes first. Then, you can add whatever u want to add. Don't confuse urself with 'license'.

you confuse yourself and us...lol

Install iTunes...import song/movie/podcast....the sync all into your iPhone..

And I found out that using iTunes to sync all the data to iPhone is really fast..

If compare with drag and drop.....

are u talking about the iTunes License Agreement????

as far as i know, non of Apple product like iPod or iPhone require any license to use, only the software need it, and of course that software applies to iPhone firmware (example 1.1.4 or 2.0) and also iPod firmware

when u going to update ur iphone or ipod to a newer version of firmware, it also requires u to agree with their license agreement

in iTunes, u need to agree with the iTunes license agreement to use iTunes, everytime u install or update ur iTunes they will ask u to "agree" or "disagree" with the agreement

just "Agree" then u may procede to use

hmm.. okays. sorry for my bad. i used to thought it was license thing about iphone...
as we all know apple very take serious with license thing... even bluetooth also cant transfer song....

then when i saw this software license agreement, it freak me out as i thought it is like software license thingy...
and also maybe i got wrong info from somewhere, either i heard it from somewhere or i read it on somewhere that when you sync your iphone into 1 pc... then u cant sync to other pc already... so this is where it lead me to think that my iphone once sync with itune in my pc it wont able to sync with any other pc due to the license thingy. so we wont able to here copy there copy and sync our iphone to all pc here and there....

so.. okays since i already know after sync my iphone with my comp pc there is no such thing as license thingy and i can format anytime...

thanks for all those helpful replies above... after so long now only i can get my iphone to hav some songs. >.<

hmm... guess i also can just plug into other pc here and there with new updated itune also can?

Hi Valex,

Just to add on. Mp3's or movies files synced to your iphone will be there but syncing your iphone with another comp that does not have the same songs or the files you added to your iphone, a message will prompt you to either erase the content in the iphone but you can cancel the sync.

Secondly, if you do delete some mp3's or movie files in your comp that you have synced to your iphone, as you sync with itunes, it will detect the missing files and will remove the files from your iphone.

So basically, iphone locks on to your files and sync according to where the location you save your files in your computer. So do take note of your sync and file locations.

Cheers

yes!

it will create a file in order to detect current location of your files...for example : if u delete one of ur songs from ur pc, which are also in ur iphone...it will be deleted automatically in ur iphone when u synchronize..except for movie file's..u can choose which movie..

the most easy way to prevent ur iphone data lost when u format ur pc is by backup or copy the old iTunes folder before formating and put it bec into ur pc after formating, it will keep all ur library as well as all ur data of ur ipod or iphone

i always put my iTunes folder on another partition so that when i format i wont loose my library data, and does not require to recreate and resync my ipod
