an example of a girl I define as emo and whom I wont ever wanna hang around with:

starts out with a sob story. I listen. asks for advice. I give.

next day/month/year: sob stories and no effort to improve situation.

(true story. chatted with her a few times and it was a complete turnoff)

my crush:

she really cares for everyone and would see things in a different light...even if she's hurt she'd hide it so that she wont affect people around her.

really admire those qualities.

hmm okay.. but what about someone whois generally bubbly and funny, but then who doesn't go through emo times? so, say that your gf is someone who prefers to hide her emoness, do you prefer her to do so or let her open her heart to you?

its not about hiding emoness here...its about solving the problem and not "enjoying" it by playing the victim. Of course I'd love her to open up to me, but that depends on how much she trusts me as well to accept that side of her
