I just came back from USA and bought an iPhone 3G from a guy in Craiglists, I am glad to find this threads of iPhone experts/fans and appreciate your advices. I can't use my iPhone 3G in KL as it is not unlocked yet - I think the phone was activated in USA & locked to AT&T.
1) What is the best way to unlock it for use Maxis service in Malaysia?
2) I have found a hardware-based unlock solution at http://www.yessim.com/ and a software-based unlock s/w at http://www.unlocksiphone.com/ - which is a proven solutions to unlock USA-based locked iPhone 3G?
3) Would you be able to help link me to people who know how to unlock the US-based iPhone 3G locked to AT&T?
