@Seaedge,
I act wonder if the prices will hold at this rate; the fact that the phone is still so new but looking at the official releases of the prices, it doesn't look like it's set to drop below what I would consider 'affordable' for a phone; then again this isn't just a phone.

Bro, dont think that way, I hate that. We are not a mob here, or practising mob mentality. I especially abhor and hate that, so just join in the conversation. There are no prerequisites or requirement to join in the conversation, this is not some exclusive club that needs membership card or anything like that.

I dont know if I have posted it here or the doomed "Tumpang" thread, but to future owners of the iPhone 3G, you may want to set the "Push" feature on MobileMe/iPhone 3G integration to "Fetch" or "Manual Push" instead.

Why? I had the case of spotty 3G auto-updating the Contacts and iCal, only to have it updated half way. The result? All my contacts come up with their names only, no phone numbers, addresses, or the notes tagged to them! Apple have been struggling to bring MobileMe up to speed, so the advice is to stay vigilant and do this manually. Or better still, dont "Fetch" or "Push" at all, but only update your Contacts and iCal appointments when you sync. This may not be an ideal solution, particularly to those on the move, and wanting MobileMe "cloud computing" to work without the need of having to be infront of your Mac or editing massive amount of data on tiny iPhone keyboards, but the way I see it, that's the safest bet.

Tell that to them, they already won, with my Tumpang in limbo now.

To those who I've meet today for the third round of the lifeless "Tumpang", it is awesome to meet you guys. Amazing insights from you guys, and I'll be using them for life in general, and in our present efforts in specific. I hope, the "solution" I offered is acceptable by you, I'm sorry it could not be any better. Keep those "solutions" to ourselves, and we'll show "them" the results later.

The "Tumpang" may be dead, but the spirit lives on. nod.gif

Bro,

At the current price, I'm not keen yet to get the 3g iphone. Nah, maybe til it hits RM2K overseas or here. I can still live with my edge iphone as I do not use it for 3g purposes like internet connectivity or video call. I am also still comfortable with 1.1.4 rather than moving up to v2.0 which I heard eliminates all your previous downloads and setups. But that's just me..........

@louismhc,
With so many people saying the phone they're selling is truly unlocked; I'm beginning to wonder if they even know the difference between non-contract phones and unlocked phones. I've a feeling most people think the non contracted phones are automatically unlocked which is really NOT the case.

@friends,
I am female and I would consider getting the iPhone 3G [in fact, I've gone crazy thinking about it!]. I also know ur expected a set to come in next week; should I be expecting a gift then?! wink.gif
