Yo guys, I wanna attach my monitor to my casing. Namely, my 19-in widescreen Samsung 940BW to my CM690. My first thought was to use a wall mounting stand for the monitor and attach it to the side of the casing, on the side panel, to be exact. But I can't find the wall mounting for my monitor anywhere, anyone got any ideas or opinions? Much appreciated.

the wall mount.....

ur supposed to screw it on ur monitor right??? measure the holes and cut them directly on the side panel....then mount monitor directly on side panel. make spaces if needed.

reinforcement of side panel would be needed as well.

Well, that was the plan. But right now, the problem I have is that I can't find the wall mount for my monitor anywhere, as my monitor comes only with the desk stand. I need to find something that will allow me to tilt the monitor and allows gap for the wires and air between the side panel and the monitor. You mentioned reinforcement, could you explain more? Thx.

dude ur monitor is hot .. u sure u want to heat up ur pc..

Well, I think the gap between the monitor and the side panel will not transfer the heat, if necessary, I can put an additional fan on the side panel, behind the monitor. Heat wouldn't be a problem.

I never heard of the place, and it's quite a distance from Seremban. Lolz...anyway, thanks for the info, I'll look it up if I go to the area sometime.

i did mine last time but after some while i dismount it cos due to the viewing angle problem

How did you mount your monitor, with the wall mount or directly on the side panel? How did you reinforce the side panel?

nono.....my idea no need wall mount...the wall mount was just a reference...

basically ur wall mount needs to be screwed onto ur monitor....that spot on the monitor where the wall mount screws on, measure them and cut the holes on the side panel....then screw on directly....kowtim. but since u wanna tilt... then either u make a custom bracket or find a tilting wall mount tongue.gif

reinforcement... add metal bars etc etc etc. ur side panel is most likely not strong enough to support the monitor. so ur gonna need to reinforce it to make it stronger to support the weight of the monitor.

anyway. ALL IT has alot of wall mounts. tried checking there?

Directly mounting the monitor onto the side panel might be easier, but the awkward viewing angle would be annoying. I'm not sure how to make a custom bracket, lolz..I think I'm gonna stick to getting a proper wall mount. I haven't checked ALL IT, actually, I haven't searched LowYat at all..lolz...no time to travel there lately...looks like I may have to go there sometime.

For the reinforcement, maybe I could weld some metal bars on the back of the side panel and screw the wall mount onto the bars itself. But there isn't much space to work with between the back of the motherboard and the side panel inside the casing. I'll look into it, see what can I do, thanks for the info bro! Much appreciated!

my friend bought 1 LCD wall mounting bracket from Viewnet few days ago, i dun know if that bracket same with what u looking for, and if i'm not mistaken, he said that bracket didnt allow us to tilt the lcd (from what a Viewnet guy said la)... btw he bought that bracket for rm80 (that time he purchased a LG lcd as well)

Thanks for the info. But it doesn't allow tilting...that would be a problem. I'll check Viewnet and see if they got one that suits my monitor tho, thanks again man, much appreciated.
