Now thinking back...not sure if this is one of the marketing strategy to steam up the iphone 3G heat by Apple...makes everybody crazy like hell...myself is one of them


As for myself, I don't think i would dare to buy anything expensive from Mudah.com at the moment, unless it is a COD deal, not even with deposit request, because there have been quite a numbers of scam cases in Mudah.com and the site is still so green as compared to lelong.com.my. Even our dear eBay Malaysia also got a lot of scammers! What a world is this...

So Mattj, please be our eyes here.... since you are so close with the iphone 3G Mudah.com seller, can you confirm us that he really2 have the item in hand? coz you are d one who pointing d direction to him... This is not an attack for u but u d only person can verify the availability of the item... we dont really care if its unlockable or not but at lease we know the item exist in his palm and one day, we can have a deal. So, what say you?

I bought a 1st gen iphone 8gb from him last February. Deal was OK. He is a seller on most sites I noticed. We deal at his house so I know basically where he lives. The deal last time was COD, I only pay him when the phone was set up and in my hands, so it was safe. I do not know his dealings for the 3g iphone which is price too expensive for me.
Again I do not know whether he has the item in hand coz' I am not getting it at that price. Call him to enquire, his no. is available. But if you feel that there is a huge risk invovled, just don't deal with him, simple. BTW the 8gb iphone I bought from him last time is the real iphone, not china one and is used by my missus now.

Aiyah... call also no use Mattj... but its ok... if it happened for you to meet him again one day and got the chance to see that 3Gs (even if you are not buying it), spy it at lease for me ok... I'll b around, lelong.com, lowyat, xdaflameuser, ebay.com.my.....

Agree with you based on the fact that it is not safe buying phones online as compared to buying from shops. But too bad online prices is always better than shops. I guess if we take certain precautions steps like always insist on COD on expensive items, dealing with establish online sellers etc...should be ok...

I have been buying lots of electronics gadgets like PDA, Phone, Ipod etc...on Lowyat and Lelong.com..so far so good. Just another thing to take note is the warranty issue. For example if you are buying original phone set, it should be fine since you can claim the warranty anywhere nationwide from the authorized distributor. But if it is an AP set, then make sure the AP distributor is available or the seller has a shop to let you refer to in times when you have problems with the phones.

Yes.. not to say that buying online is not a good way.. but plz make sure the person we are dealing are trusted enuf and has a good track record. COD is the best way for this expensive items..

Agreed. At least there's assurance when doing COD, when it is physically available that we can actually see & touch it. Doing Pre-Order from unknown or non-credible seller is extremely risky as they only use words rather than showing the product on-hand & post pictures taken from the internet without reliable source.

Does the seller have proof that he will getting the product? We consumer also don't have proof that the seller is credible or not.

On top of that, who the hell wanted to pay in full for a pre-ordered item that was never proven & in the 1st place?
