I have the secret strike, word of advice. Careful with the pump, my pump stopper assembly came out after 2 weeks of heavy use, need to glue it back.

I just got myself a Raider a few days ago, and I must say it TOTALLY BEATS the Vulcan in performance, it has better performance, lighter, doesn't need batteries, carries more rounds per clip and most importantly.. IT'S CHEAPER than a Vulcan! Too bad it can only use streamlines. Would have prefered to use the suction cup darts on the thing so the darts don't go flying everywhere after firing!

I imagine a battery/belt modded Vulcan does things that no Raider can do.

True, but, the Raider is still easier to carry than the Vulcan. Also, a battery modded Vulcan's gears melts easier right?

Anyway here's a short video

But the Raider can't use the dart tag (velcro) darts right? Can only use streamlines correct? I see that the gun barrel seems to be almost an exact fit for the streamline's dimensions, can't see anything else going in there. Heck, only managed to get a sonic micro dart shoot out of it once.

As for modding.. got a 2 year old running around the house staring down barrels, can't really do any range or power modifications.

Specifically, is it noisier than the Firefly? (If the light from it won't expose you, the noise will) if it is, then doing a "Ninja-sneak-up-from-behind-attack-with-coup-de-grace-combo" with it is a no-no then.
*
That's the cool thing about the Raider, it's not any noiser than a normal gun like say the Maverick, it's just that it's designed so that the typical step of load dart -> pump gun -> pull trigger can be streamlined into one quick motion. So if you just need to fire off controlled dart to nail someone in the back of the head. You can. But.. when you need to spray, you can just rapid fire and empty the drum.

Watch the video!

Added on October 8, 2009, 3:06 pmSpeaking of which, what is the range on a stock Raider CS-35? I'm noticing my nephew shooting darts with like 4-6 meters range and wondering if the spring is ruined or something.
*
Never quite measured the distance, but a dart can almost make it across my living room hall before losing momentum and getting blown away by the fan

Hmmm.. interesting set of rules.

I dont see why there should be a limit on Vulcans... cause Vulcan range performance sucks tongue.gif

The most unfair unmodded gun would have to be the Raider. Cause when you couple it with a drum magazine it can fire pretty fire and have a lot of shots.

As for no headshots, as long as everyone aren't using modded weapons and wearing eye protection. It'll be ok... sure.. shots to the teeth sting like hell but you can wear a full facemask if you want.

And as for close range shots, it's a Nerf dart. Not a paintball, you don't get severly bruised when you're shot by one of them! tongue.gif

how useful can a scope be on a gun which the dart can easily be blown off course? And also.. travels in an arc.

Anyone know where can still find Nerf Maverick? Been reading about Nerf and Maverick seems like a good choice. Was looking in TRU ESG and Parkson Subang Parade but couldn't find any.

Plenty of Mavericks when I picked up my Deploy in Tropica City.

Added on May 30, 2010, 12:05 amMain complaint about the deploy is that the Trigger grip feels flimsy because it's collapsable, don't feel secure just holding it by the grip, better with 2 hands.

Unmodded, just feels like any other Nerf gun to me. Potential mods other than the usual plunger,spring... Well.. you could put a stronger LED in the light tube tongue.gif.

And for people who love to see spring loaded toys pop open like me.

Just got myself a NERF Barricade.

All is right in the world.

where did you get the Barricade, looking forward to it, cause it's small enough and battery powered so my son can play without having to cock the gun.
