i found 1 online shop selling at RM140..so it can be consider?
Which online shop is selling nerf longshots for RM140? Please share the link! Thx.
Me and my friends in sg have been ordering our longshots from amazon.com and hasbrotoyshop.com, and the total cost per unit incl. usa-sg shipping ends up around S$95-S$100 (or RM230+!) each!

Cool... RM140 should be the right local shop pricing for a longshot. The only question is whether e-toyz gets their stock from Hasbro M'sia soon (same issue i'm facing with Hasbro Sg too). I'll be keen to drive over and buy a few once they are avaliable.

raider and spartan?
Yup, if you guys have read about or played the new Nerf N-Strike game on Nintendo Wii, it showcases alot of new Nerf blasters. Most are just concepts, but the developers mentioned that a few are actually slated for future production (some screenshots from the game):
There has been alot of discussion on the various nerf forums, and in particular, the Raider and Spartan were models rumoured to be most likely confirmed for production (based on possible active mechanisms):
Yeah, i saw that recall too. It affects those first-gen Recons which have the exposed orange-coloured air plunger which were sold last year in the States. They have since added a black plastic cap at the back of the air plunger for this year's units.
Anyways, the ones we buy locally are all the "face-lifted" versions with the black cap.

Yes, mine looks exactly like the one in the pic... I think all the Recons in M'sia market is the 1st gen version leh... No need to get the black cap lah, it will make the gun look dull...
Yeah... don't really need the end-cap, its just to protect little kid's chubby cheeks getting pinched.
The Recons sold in sg all have the black end-caps, here is what it looks like:

Thats a hike of 20 bucks... holy mother of plastic pistols.
My friend just went to TRU at Jusco JB today and he saw Mavericks there at RM34.90 each, so i'm curious how the other TRUs price theirs so much higher at RM54.90? Thats very odd, i think its a mis-pricing by some of the TRU stores.
Btw, my friend also discovered that the Nerf Rapid Fire 20 is now avaliable at TRU selling at RM99.90 ! Although its an older design, its a 20 dart blaster which can fire in full auto mode, which makes it effectively a magstrike on steroids!

Check out this amazing Nerf Vulcan mod by the guys at ManaPotions, they doubled the battery voltage from 9V to 18V (very simple to do with RC packs), added a LED ammo counter and battle paintwork... the result is a 500 rounds per minute Vulcan!
Just watch what happens when they add (2) RC battery packs to it:
Btw, just some nerf news from across the causeway, the Nerf Vulcan finally came on sale in SG yesterday at Takashimaya! When i was there in the afternoon, there were approx. 20+ Vulcan boxes on display.
The interesting part is.... next day, all sold out!
Luckly, more vulcan stock has officially arrived in sg, so all the stores have them now.

I also get a friend to source for Longshot CS6 in Hong Kong TRU 2 weeks ago, they were out-of-stock :-(
Next NERF to acquire: LONGSHOT CS6!!!
I guess you don't have to search so far, over at SG all the stores here now stock Longshots (S$79.90 each)... recently there have been 20% store discount promos on the weekends, so Longshots can be bought for around S$64 bucks.
Very cool integration and paint job you got there ganaz-x!
With the matt olive green colour, its starting to resemble the awesome Aliens USMC M41A Pulse Rifle... perhaps you can mod the integrated pump action front blaster further to become an attached shotgun or grenade launcher?

Hi nugget1123, thanks for the Jusco JB TRU nerf stock update! A few of us from SG drive up every once in a while to buy Nerf stuff from there too, your update is very helpful.
Btw, just to clarify on nerf stock, the Nerf Rapid Fire 20 (RF20) is not avaliable in SG yet, most of the RF20 units that SG nerfers currently have were bought from Jusco JB TRU a while back (before they ran out of stock), and those were the older Black/Red versions.
So now we're waiting for the New N-strike Yellow/Black versions.
since its claimed having "laughable" distance i dont think i would even consider one... as u cant even mod it...
The Vulcan has an 25-30 foot firing range (similiar to an unmodded longshot or recon), average but sufficient for most actual nerf games, which are usually played at those kind of distances anyways. Its real strength lies in its fully automatic belt drive firing mechanism.
You can definitely mod the Vulcan... for increased rate-of fire. Distance becomes less of an issue when you can chase up and spray 15-20 darts at your opponent before they can even fire back their 2nd shot!
I've been running my own Vulcan's voltage at 12-15 Volts for the past few months, not as high as their 19.2 Volts, though i've tried that kind of high voltage too, super fast but can smell the motor overheating after firing a few belts... would rather prefer to preserve my vulcan's motor yet get higher rate-of-fire.
Here are 2 videos of my stock vs modded Vulcans:
9 Volts (Stock 6 x D 1.5V batteries)
15 Volts (Mod 10 x AA 1.5V batteries)
Btw, its also easy to link up the ammo belts to extend to 50 or 75 (or 100!) dart capacity... you'll need it.
