hello all sifus in lowyat

Few days ago i accidently updated my iphone to 2.0 firmware but i manage to downgrade back to firmware 1.1.4 but now im experiencing some function missing my from settings such as (Edge is missing , Wifi can be detected but cannot use for surfing and i cant get a line or see my carrier (Digi)logo which is suppost to be at the top left of the iphone.i tried quite a few unlocking methods from ilibrety+ which is the easiest way to unlock but (Edge is missing , Wifi can be detected but cannot use for surfing and i cant get a line or see my carrier logo which is suppost to be the top left of the iphone.i tried winpwn but during the restoration process it came out with an error (1015)i have also tried ziphone and ibrickr but i heard it might damage the phone i tried unlocking and restoring quite a number of times already will my die on me ? i hope all sifus and help me on this issue thanks for reading

if i may ask, what prompted you to upgrade to fw 2.0 in the first place?

What's the deal with this "I accidentally updated to FW2.0" stuff? Its not like itunes secretly update the phone or someone threaten you at gunpoint to update. You have to physically click the confirmed button to update. Unless you have a trigger happy finger where you click click click click without reading first.

Its been a while since I fooled around with the iphone firmware and dunno if this is the right thread to be asking about it.

anyway, now that iphone 2.0 has been released and that unlocking has been made possible, im thinking of upgrading it for the AppStore goodness + Installer / Cydia

My Iphone (EDGE version) is currently on 1.1.3 and was unlocked using ziphone - which downgraded my bootloader to 3.9_M3S2.

My first question: is it possible for me to flash the iphone with the iphone 2.0 firmware or does it require that my phone be on 4.6 bootloader ?

My second question: is it possible to unlock using other unlocking software (Pwnage, iLiberty etc) to unlock it after i've used ziphone to do so previously?

at least you've managed to make it 'half-works' back to 1.1.4. I don't event know where to start with. Is it possible to email me the steps on how to restore it back?

Hi guys, could use some help as well.. TS sorry for the tumpang thread.

My bro accidentally (He never bothers reading when it pops up telling him iTunes will be upgrading his iphone to 2.0 zzz) upgrades his firmwares to 2.0 so I googled around and manage to solve downgrade it to 1.1.4

now the major problem i'm facing is, after the downgrading, I have difficulties syncing the bloody phone with my PC. When i plug the phone in, usually at device manager u should be able to see the phone is synced (either its iPhone or Storage device) but its not showing anything! Even the phone is not charging. Before I perform the downgrade, it was working fine.

I myself am using iPhone, so i did some basic troubleshooting by:-

1. testing whether is it the cable problem, and it works fine with my iphone.

2. Could be iTunes corrupted or something, so reinstalled the whole iTunes (Currently running 7.5) for downgrading purposes.

3. USB port faulty, changed to another 2 ports, still not working.

4. PC Problem? Changed to 3 different PCs, still the same..

Googled like mad for the past few days and tried all the things I managed to find but still the same.. Could really use some help from u guys if u guys ever encounter such issue...

Note: The iPhone is working fine, I can access Wifi, can surf net using wifi, but Installer.app is not installed so I can't install anything.

hmm believe it or not, ziphone needed to unlock ur phone when it cant boot(looping at restore mode) normally
winpwn cant do anything by that point
