UPDATED -------------- okie let me explain my situation. i am doing motion detector alarm for my FYP. so this motion detector will be connected to car alarm , which means tat the motion detector will oni be activated when the car alarm remote is enabled. and motion detector deactivated when car alarm is disabled. so now , i hv to tap current from the car alarm (to get a signal) to turn on off motion detector. when the motion detector receive this signal(pulse), den oni motion detector will ON. when the motion detector again receive the signal(pulse), it will OFF. simply it means tat motion detector will work oni when the alarm is enabled. so now, is there any relay or switches that can perform that kind of job ? when receive pulse, it will turn on circuit, when gain receive pulse, it will turn off circuit. the current that i hv researched is PULSE. not continous current. it can be tapped from the central lock/unlock wire. thanks. QUOTE(NelsonBoy @ Jul 14 2008, 03:43 PM) Currently i am in the final year of my course. don choose those "very" high tech stuff or it'll ruin you. choose simple one lar like infrared camera we are required to come up with a project that has to do with our couse (Electrical and Electronic) SO u guys out there have any idea ?? i hv one suggestion. is about the ID card scanning. where the ID card that matches with the programmed ID in PIC will open the door. if it doesnt match, then it will not open . Any idea??? this is just the basic introduction. any guys can enlightment me ? Thanks. others idea is also accepted ---- all you need is infrared converter plus cmos sensor/ccd ...... and test subject is probably your FYP partner (best if girl) trust, sure can get an A one....
