Does anyone agree with the 20-day interest free period for those who pay in full only ?

I, for one, TOTALLY AGREE with this move.
Credit Card is for convenience of not carrying cash... not to put you in debt.

@ronnie,
I doubt real biz people do that; for just how much $ can U get from the CCs?  Also, it makes no financial sense in the LT.

I guess when those internet scam like 12DailyPro was quite hot smile.gif
12% per day return definitely beats 18% per annum charged by CC

The banks are trying to "cheat" you into using cash advances by giving you the cheques.

@vin_ann,
Yeah don't worry about those cash advanced cheque the banks sent to U.  I get those all the time and each time I receive them, I just trash it biggrin.gif

Make sure you shred/defaced it also. someone may play prank on you and banked into your account.
that's why your banking account number must be kept private.

I concur with Reventon. My experience with DA's Platinum Customer Care is very good.

I think the other day when I was checking AMEX, one year fee for classic card is RM138. I rather use free card as Im using it for convinient and not to borrow money.

yameh?
If you use Citibank Shell goldcard, it still gives you 2.5% on petrol and 1.5% on purchase even when you dont carry forward balance.
Not bad lar... quite useful cos when purchase air ticket for boss or buy office stuff, I swipe and I save but claim full. Hahaha...

Who cares... my boss dun care much lar...
In fact his CC (AMEX, CIMB, PBB all Platinum) are so troublesome when buying AirAsia tickets. AMEX is the worst as not even supported. Other requires verification like mother maiden name which make him mad. I just took my Citibank, type in the numbers and straight through. Doesnt even need verification but I do feel a bit unsecure.

I think it's a security feature. Platinum card holders should be flying business/first class.

You can actually cancel the Shell Citibank Credit card with a phone call. They will make another call to "beg" you to keep the card after a few days.

Gee. I used my MBB CC to pay for petrol in Petronas this morning, and when I checked my balance in the evening, it was 200 bucks! I thought I pump only like 30 bucks?

Called up their helpdesk and they told me to wait until the next billing cycle and it would be adjusted automatically.
*
Did you swipe your card in the cashier counter or at the pump itself ?

usually if swipe at cashier and you request full tank..they will do a pre-authorisation amount. they should reverse the amount after you complete the fill-up

I will recommend Direct Access/CIMB MasterCard which offers 2% rebate on all petrol staion in Malaysia (until 31 Dec 2008).
Rebate credited at the end of billing date.
