hi all, i'm new here. just want to share my dissastisfaction on Maybank. i applied Maybank SonyCard somewhere in June, and faxed over the docs on the same day. In Jul, i called up several times to check on my application status. but was told that it was still "processing". i asked the CSO whether they hav received all the docs, they said yes.

Fine, so i decided to continue to wait. i called up almost every wk but all they can said is still processing. so i decided to wrote in, finally someone replied me somewhere in Jul, one mth later after my application. she said my application is still pendign as i did not provide for my relative details & my IC is not clear. i was really fed up. it took them one mth to discover this!?? i emailed them to info the followign day. guess what, another mth has past. i've still yet to receive the card. i emailed the CSO again, ask her to expedite. she promised so but still no news. i wrote to them again to complain on the svcs, etc etc. finally they email me 2 days ago to inform me that the card is (finally) approved.

it actually took them > 3 mths to process a cc application!!? according to their site, all applications approved up to 31 Aug are entitled to life time annual fee waiver. but the card is only approved in Sep, i dont know whether this is why they are delayign my card. anyway, i hav write in again, lets see how long do they take to revert to me this time

btw, my 1st CC is from OCBC. applied during roadshow & received the card pretty fast.

i applied Citibank clear card early this yr too, the CSO contacted me, confirm my details, etc etc. she called again saying that my printed payslip didnt state my coy name. she requested me to chop with coy stamp. so i did & emailed back to her. she called me again, said she needs endorsement too. but she should hav told me in the 1st place, rite?! i got fed up so i told me to cancel my application. the verification process is really tedious, OCBC was much faster. btw, she has already contacted my HR before she requested me to send her the payslip. since she has confirm my employment with HR and i've also send her the payslips with coy stamp. i dun see why she cant process based on tat.

so i decided to apply from Citibank Spore instead. got the card 2 days later after i applied online. just send my CPF statement online, and its approved the next day. dun even need to submit my IC and payslips. Also applied for UOB lady's card, and received it pretty fast too.

sigh, i'm really quite dissatisfied with the svc from MBB & Citibank Msia.

totally agree that MBB is slowww! my card has finally approved in early sep. guess what, i applied for this card in jun & its only approve in sep!
i've received their statement BUT i'm still yet to receive the card! the statement is sent via normal mail while the card is sent via pos laju. normal mail is actually faster than poslaju

looks like their std answer is in progress/processing. i called them up several times & the CSO always tell me is still processign. one day, i've decided to write in to complain, finally someone replied. she told me my applicaiton was pending as i my Ic copy is unclear & i forgotten to provide them my relative's contact. i got so fed up! the call center told me they receive all my docs & procesing my applicaiton, but someone told me something different,

i emailed the details to her. & told her tat i need the card urgently, told her to expedite for me. but still, i didnt receive the card & no news from then on, i wrote in to complain again. finally someone replied said will chk for me. the card is suppose to come with lifetime annual fee waiver if approve by 31 Aug. but in the end, the card was only approved in early sep. i dont know whehter this is reason they are delaying my application.

anyway, i've checked tat the card is in Pos office now. i'll go down to collect on coming sat.

i applied for SonyCard, coz i' wan to get a bravia for my mum
btw what does DA stand for?

i read the T&C, it is stated as follows,

The following persons shall not be eligible to participate in the Campaign:
© present holders of any Citibank credit card(s) whether issued in Malaysia or otherwise;

so i guess u'll not be eligible? so am i as i'm holding the clear card issued in spore

anyway, also take note tat

Customers will be required to pay RM45 to Citibank for processing and delivery charges

Added on September 25, 2008, 1:01 amu can obtain the form from any sony style outlet too. btw, i applied mine 3mths ago when they were having promo for lifetime annual fee waiver. 3mths later, MBB has finally informed me that my card is approved. but guess what, when i opened the parcel, the card i received is not SonyCard, but just a normal CC. the application form i used is SonyCard application form, i've also stated very clearly in my email title: SonyCard Application Status.

totally take my hat off over MBB's service
