I think there're few cards from CIMB that are free for life without conditions:
1. CIMB Direct Access Gold/Platinum 2. CIMB Mastercard with Paypass 3. CIMB Petronas Mastercard Otherwise, you may consider MBB Petronas Visa. I'm not sure about other offerings. |

QUOTE(cantona7 @ Aug 19 2008, 10:17 PM) i got a question here... Just pay before the due date and no interest will be imposed.my direct access card right...the interest free period means wat? i no need to pay interest if i pay before the due date of the statement? or 20 days from the transaction date? lets say my statement date is 13th Aug, due date is 3rd Sept. As long as i pay before 3rd Sept, i wont be charged any interest? Based on the new BNM ruling, once you missed a payment, you will lose the privilege of the interest period till you cleared the outstanding. Interest will be started to be credited to your statement on the date of purchase. |

QUOTE(cantona7 @ Aug 19 2008, 10:57 PM) so that means is 20 days interest free from the date of purchase lar? You're required to pay what is billed. Any late payment to the current bill will impose a financial charge on upcoming purchaes in the next billing cycle I believe, means after u make the transaction..u need to pay within 20 days? lets say... 13.8.2008 statement date 14.8.2008 used RM 100 13.9.2008 2nd statement date 01.10.2008 Statement due date the RM100 is included in the 2nd statement and it's 29 days to statement day. Will i be charged interest if i pay at 31.9.2008? By the way, there's 31st in the month of September. |

It's very complicated with the new ruling.
That's why to make my life more simple is to consistently clear all my outstanding before the statement due date. |

QUOTE(kons @ Aug 20 2008, 07:18 PM) Gee. I used my MBB CC to pay for petrol in Petronas this morning, and when I checked my balance in the evening, it was 200 bucks! I thought I pump only like 30 bucks? Did they explain how come such thing could happen?Called up their helpdesk and they told me to wait until the next billing cycle and it would be adjusted automatically. |

QUOTE(Tronoter @ Aug 20 2008, 08:58 PM) its correct for petronas card...no matter what amount u pump into petrol, they will charge u rm200 per petrol transaction and will deduct the actual amount after 7 days...ok?? I didn't experience such occasion before. The last time I pumped using MBB Petronas Visa at Petronas is last week. The exact amount is being debited to my statement in the online statement.10-Aug-2008 10-Aug-2008 PETRONAS BAYAN BARU PULAU PINANG MY RM24.60 This post has been edited by David83: Aug 20 2008, 09:03 PM |

QUOTE(TeraPox @ Aug 22 2008, 10:35 PM) lowest rate now is CIMB... Your CIMB CC is which card?0% interest for 6 months..but make sure u can settle it in 6 months ah...(applicable for CIMB new customers only) Added on August 22, 2008, 10:37 pm if i'm not wrong.. seems like CIMB is taking away the paypass features coz of security leakage... my new CIMB card dun show "Paypass" on the upper right corner anymore... |
