@jep,
Unless you're able to contact them [did U even get the co name?!] I don't think there's anything U can do. |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 11 2008, 11:46 AM) @jep, Well there's still hope. The contract would require a documented proof that the buyer agrees to the purchase and in this case a signature or a verbal capture (e.g Voice Logger) to say that he said yes to it. If you initiate a transaction dispute with bank, the bank will ask for all this from the merchant and of course the merchant is unable to furnish them in this case. Unless you're able to contact them [did U even get the co name?!] I don't think there's anything U can do. I think there's a good chance for the case to be won by the card holder but I don't think that merchant will dare to do so in the first place. You see there's a hefty penalty (thousands of bucks) that can be imposed onto the merchant if proven such a fraudulent attempt has occurred. |

@hye,
I think U forgot to mention the 'illegal' part hence there is just more than the hefty penalty. |

@jep,
Just need to becareful. Also, don't trust others with your CC details. Transactions can't be done without the CCV code. |

It's either called as CVV or CVC code.

@jep,
You can but there will be additional bank charges incurred; read the T&C properly. |

Like tinkerbel says, it depends on the bank's T&C. Citibank imposes a RM30 cancellation fee. MBB is OK with it but you have to inform them and justify. Not sure about the rest though. |

@hye,
Yeah I was going through the T&C at one point and realised the additional fees - I thought it was pretty stupid but looking at it from the banks' perspective; I guess the 1 main reason they keep you on those interest free plans is just so they can keep U as a member; with that there's a higher possibility of using their card |

@vin_ann,
Unless it's a technical issue the usual CS rep should be able to answer ur calls. I once had problems logging on and when I called to check the problem, I was told my CC status was 'cancelled' hence by default my Online Banking account too was suspended. |

for the easy payment plan, if anyone wish to pay lump sum of the balance available, write in to the bank and fax over and bank will call you to verify the termination of instalment. Tried on few bank already. But i never get any penalty la.haha. Depend on your negotiation skill on da phone.
