Last night I receive CIMB DA statement, after dormant for >7 years. I've both Visa & Master, which I keep for emergency at home/office. The problem is, I have never used it before and they did not send me the latest updated card. I think I don't have the chip-based card. Need to find where I stack the CC.

That will be my 2nd backup CC.

hi, maybank petronas cc can be accessed using atm machine? i just got my cc but is there really got pin number for cc? for what use? they didn't tell me what my pin number is? how?

To have ATM access, you need to apply for a ATM PIN. Usage is mainly for cash advance.

Anyone using Citibank CC? Did U get Bonus Points in ur last statement?! I did but I've absolutely NO idea what those Bonus Points are for - thought I'll check here before I call and ask CS *grins*

It's weird cause Citibank's stingy with points as far as I know

Haf no clue about the insurance package; probably something along the lines of 'if something happened to U, ur outstanding balance on the CC will be taken care off'....

I don't think those promos have anything to do with it - I haven't even SMSed in to join the Car contest [but what are the chances of winning!]. My latest bill reflects RM0.00 balance for MasterCard and yet I get 1,321 bonus points [not that I'm complaining - the more the merrier!]

They said that they will charge like 65cents per RM100 on your outstanding balance. I believe its the Credit Shield Plus..Can i cancel it if i don't want it?..since that i used Citi CC just for emergency card and if i'm going oversea.

You should be able to cancel it but I'm not sure if there is a 'lock-in' period. Also, check if U'll haf to pay even if ur outstanding balance on the CC is RM0.00.

I never bother with all these insurance or calls from the bank; AFAIK I alwiz tell them I'm not interested

got called from somebody claim to be maybank that offer some backup card..i can;t see the phone number due to "withheld"..and when she asked about my expired date for my credit card and i said i will go to maybank branch for verification and she just hang up without any thanks..could some body verify for me about the so called backup card for credit card?

It was probably a fraudster trying his luck.

I also received calls from Maybank and there's no number but showed Withheld. By the way, I'm using SE phone.
