Where can I request for DA from my current CIMB Master ?
Be it they upgrade to DA or give me new DA lol ...

How's the approval rate ?

Added on September 26, 2008, 10:19 amAnd I also heard CIMB card has to do with Bonus Link ?

Is the point for CIMB known as Bonus Link Point ???

I never use Bonus Link to swip ever since few months back, even I pump Shell lol

1. You can apply for DA @ any CIMB branches. And they are not the same thing as the CIMB card ... 2 different product. It is not an upgrade or downgrade from CIMB cards.
2. Approval should be OK if all of your submitted documents are OK. It does not mean you have CIMB card you auto qualify for DA card.
3. CIMB point system is not Bonuslink points. Period.

Now Platinum has lost it's value

Last time income PA. RM120k and it drops to RM100k -> RM90k -> RM80k -> RM70k

If you have an existing credit card used for more than 1 year and has RM17k credit limit also can get Platinum

Very soon, Platinum will be like Gold few years back. Everyone have one

I got this info from those ppl promoting HSBC, Citibank, RHB, Hong Leong, AMbank, EON, Standard Charted  credit card today

According to the UOB agent, she said the 2 banks that does not have points expiry is Citibank and UOB. Not sure true / false statement

Anyway, I did some calculation

13800 points (1 point = RM1) to exchange RM50 (Seng Heng)

Carrefour 4% cashback. If I spend RM1250, I get 4% cash back = RM50 savings

So Cash back is much better

Am I right?

@hye,
If I ain't mistaken I got like 5 years annual fee waiver when I applied for the Clear Card. After that, when I called to get a waiver, they told me no despite me 'threatening' to cancel my account. I then ended up paying 2-3 years of annual fee until I decided to cancel the damn account for good but before I could do that, I asked about waiver and ta-dah I was given a waiver.

@EightPhantomz,
Promos aren't LT hence U won't be able to find a card that would give u the best of the whole world smile.gif

I applied citibank platimum visa yesterday. Today they call me approve already and card ready for collection

I didnt expect that fast

They are promoting the plaza premium lounge in klia. Free pass to use their facilities such as internet, massage, food, drinks, beer, etc

For lcct's plaza premium lounge, not free but 50% discount

This is sure good for me since i go there quite often. Got place to camp when early

By right, cancelling a card won't be charged provided that you have cleared all the outstanding.

Yes ... you can cancel anytime so long you have no outstanding balance. I have recently cancelled a card which I cancelled in less than 24 hours after receiving the card. I did not get charged for anything.

EON cc ... well I cancelled this card within 1 month after receiving it. I applied when they had this promo on 1 hour approval which (of course) took more than 1 hour to approve which I constitute as false advertising. I don't agree with the additional 2.5% charges for overseas transactions they imposed to their customers as I often buy things online. .... Card cancellation was imminent.

Min salary is always RM 18k per annum. Gold cards are usually 36k per annum and plat cards can go as low as 60k per annum.

Depends ... generally they will ask for 1 month but don't be surprised if they ask up to 3 months payslip.

The only card with graduate scheme is DA. They need your graduate cert, photostat IC & payslip.
