i don't think your friend can collect the card for you even he has the authorization letter from you. If by pos laju to your office/home, any person can receive the mail for you, but if the card have been send back to pos laju center, only you can retrieve it.
I've bad experience to card relocation as their service are very bad, cimb , mbb , citi and uob , takes alot of time and often send to wrong location. |

QUOTE(Reventon @ Sep 12 2008, 07:49 PM) i don't think your friend can collect the card for you even he has the authorization letter from you. If by pos laju to your office/home, any person can receive the mail for you, but if the card have been send back to pos laju center, only you can retrieve it. Poslaju will only allow the receipient of the card to collect the package once it reaches the Pos Laju center and no proxies are allowed. Another thing to note is that Pos Laju will only accept instructions from the originating bank for any redirection of your card package and will not listen to you although you can prove (fax the IC also no effect) that you are the intended receipient of the card. I can confirm Reventon's bad experience. I've bad experience to card relocation as their service are very bad, cimb , mbb , citi and uob , takes alot of time and often send to wrong location. It is not the bank's fault but because they are using Pos Laju. |

For Poslaju delivery, there is the option to allow 3rd party to collect on your behalf, but the banks takes the option of only named recipient with Mykad can collect the item. This requirement is for your own safety too, anyway. Mykad's are harder to forge than fake authorisation letters.

I just got charge RM80 for annual fee on my unactive MBF card. RM40 for each card (visa and mastercard). Can I ask for waive on the fee? Would they even care to waive the fee?

hye,
My instruction to card relocation is not towards pos laju, it's when the card has been send back to card distribution center and i double confirm with bank CS, i asked them to send to Branch A , they usually will send to branch B or C or D. Makes me have to call couple of time before they actually get the card to the right place. |

Amex got 3 type :
1. Amex Charge Card 2. Amex Platinum Credit Card 3. Amex Credit Card with Maybank Logo. The lowest requirement i think is Amex Classic With Maybank logo. Same as normal classic credit card requirement (18k). The Amex Charge Card ( Green Card ) requirement is 24k per annum. Approval rate is vary and depend on bank la. Same as CC application also like most forummers mention before etc good paymaster , clean record, and if you pay 21k for your income tax, most probably your approval rate is 80% above. Haha. |

Hi! I am new here.
I would like to share my experience here too. I was once a heavy credit card user, until it burdens me with the debts that I was so stressful even paying the minimum amt required every month. I have got 4 cards, namely MBB, AmBank, Eon and RHB. Total credit limits ~ RM32K and total outstanding balance ~ RM26K. Every month, waiting for salary, get prepared to cover the minimum payment, like no ending stories..... Until one day, I discovered these "Credit Card Restructure Plans", which can actually restructure and consolidate my credit card debt accounts to an easy payment plans with very much lower interests of 6.3% p.a. (compared to 18% p.a., which mean I am saving total interest of 11.7% p.a.) How does it work? First, they settle my outstanding amt of RM7.5K (MBB), RM6.5K (Ambank), RM5.8K (Eon) and RM6.2K (RHB). Now, all my cards having full credit limits. Then, they swipe out each card for RM6.5K, total of RM26K to restructure and convert it into easy payment plans. I have chosen 36 months (3 years) monthly instalments plan, with an upfront interest of 6.3% p.a. (equals to 19% for 3 years), meaning I am paying RM4,940 for the upfront interest (RM26K x 19%). I am willing to deduct the amt RM4,940 from RM26K instalmant plan, rather than paying high interest of 18% p.a., that would be more than RM10K (RM26K x 18% x 3 years) and I am actually saving total interest of 11.7% p.a., about RM9K (RM26K x 11.7% x 3 years). What happened then? I am paying a "fixed" monthly instalment back to my original credit card's issuing banks for: total RM722.23 (RM26K divided by 36 months), RM180.56 each to MBB, Ambank, Eon and RHB (RM722.23 divided by 4). Because they have already deducted for the upfront interest, therefore the monthly instalment is actually fixed at 0% interest for the rest of 36 months. Before, I was paying around RM1,300 for the minimum amount required (RM26K x 5%). Now, I am paying around RM722 every month, saving about RM578 (less burden for me). The best thing is, i am able to settle these debts within 3 years, free myself from debts by then. I am spreading this great news because I am now an agent too, helping those who actually feeling the "pains" of paying high interest of 18% p.a. and having difficulty of paying the minimum amt every month. ernest2020,
Good to hear that you are climbing out of the CC trap. You realised the CC evil, and you manage to learn about financial management and apply it. |

QUOTE(nVidiaFX @ Sep 10 2008, 08:03 PM) Hello guys so far i felt that the only two banks that provides okay service is maybank i dont know is it just me or what the benefits are okay not bad but their customer service is horrendous there was once on a sunday i try calling their customer hot line even the vip department there was no answer. now i am working for HSBC service wise, approval rate and also after sales service seems to be pretty good just thatt sometimes they salesperson are too pushy i got to admit : ) I have a bad experience with one of the HSBC sales person. He came to our office (well, after calling me) to promote HSBC gold card. As I have a couple of card already, I said no at first, untill he told me you can buy a MAS ticket with up to something like 30% discount, anytime, no time limit, local or abroad. It sounds to good to be true, but i thought he should know more than me, than why not. At the same time my colleague asked for a platinum card with the same benefit to this guy. And so we wait. A week passed, and i received my gold card, together with some goodies. Than I decided to call the HSBC centre to ask about the 30% discount on airline ticket and what is the term and condition. To my surprise, they said they dont have that kind of promotion, and its probably the salesperson was misinform. WTF? So I immediately canceled the card. For my colleague, instead getting a Platinum, she get a gold card instead. Shes so pissed off, she emailed her friend which is one of the HSBC Malaysia board of director to complain. A few days later, she got a letter from the HSBC Malaysia CEO, asking for forgiveness and try to convinced her to reapply the card again. But damage has been done, she refused and applied from other bank instead. As for me, I will not apply any sorts of facility (card, loan, whatever) from HSBC again.. I wonder what happen to that guy..... |

Guys, i need to clear some doubts...
Some sales person will ask us to photocopy for credit card front n back to give them rather then our financial documents to get their CC rite? How we can trust them that they won't use the 3 numbers at the bck of our card to scam? I'm not sure how this thing works since we can trust anyone who we don't know personally. |

Is it similar with Credit Card ? afaik, Credit Card allow you to swip first with certain limit, and we pay next month ... too bad i never pay any income tax yet lol |
