This championship showcases the very best lion dance teams from around the world competing for the coveted award. Also for the first time ever, there will be Eastern and Western Lion King awards, to be given to the top lion dance troupe of each area.

Spectators will be treated to superb mastery of skills and colourful displays of lion dance props as each team prove their prowess to become the world champion. A four-side layout sets tremendous challenge to the participating teams and to the audience, it is truly a sight to behold! Every team is given a maximum of 12 minutes to complete the performance. This is no doubt a test of endurance, concentration and agility for the participants.
