Try re-downloading the IPSW file. Might be the last download wasn't a good one. Then make sure you use the latest iLiberty+ (if you choose this option).

Open itunes and press Shift+Restore, pick the IPSW file and restore. No need to put in restore mode or anything. If you get error 16** then its ok, that error only shows that it can't flash the baseband as its already the latest.

After finish restoring, open iLiberty+ v1.3. Go to the 'advance' tab and 'available on repo' (at the bottom). Click on the refresh button and it will download the packages from internet. Once you see the list refreshes, tick on BootNeuter and Installer (if available) and download. After finish downloading, it will be in the 'Local' tab. Select BootNeuter and Installer and it should be added to the 'Selected' tab. Go back to 'Standard' tab and tick Activate and YouTube Fix and go for it.

After everything is done, make sure you set the Auto-Lock to never in settings and run BootNeuter. Word of caution, let BootNeuter finish its process and don't interfere. One wrong move while its flashing the phone and you are a goner.

Think thats sums it all up.

Added on July 13, 2008, 2:05 pmI still prefer winpwn/pwnage since we only need to restore with the custom firmware and don't need other applications (iLiberty or ZiPhone) to do the jailbreaking later. And the best part, we can suka hati change the boot/restore logo without restoring again biggrin.gif .

Have you restored the phone and use iLiberty? Woo that was fast.

Run BootNeuter only after you done the above. BootNeuter will reflash the baseband to unlock it again incase the last unlocking was done with some shoddy app.

How to use BootNeuter:

1. Leave the version as it is.
2. Turn Neuter to 'ON'
3. FakeBlank 'OFF' unless you want to run serial payloads later
4. Unlock 'ON'
5. Tap 'Flash' on top and wait till it finish the process.

Thats it.

If you just run BootNeuter without doing the restoring and jailbreaking stuff first, your crashing app problem will not be solve. BootNeuter only an extra step to 'Cleanse' your phone.
