I wonder about that... I've only used my innov8 for less than 3 months and the slider really starts to loosen up quite fast. It used to be stiff and then now its very flimsy. I wonder if anything else on the phone is going to get flimsier later. I also find the touch key in the middle, sometimes if i slide my finger across it, the key will run quite a bit and instead of scrolling on 1 item it will scroll like 4 items instead. Quite frustrating at times. Wish it had a dedicated key for playing and stopping music files. I find it really annoying to play with at times.

My slider is getting loose too

For touch key, quick slide = 1 item, slow slide = 4 items. I feel its still okay. Now I prefer to slide than press keys

whats the current market price for this phone??

there is no official way to update the FW. only unofficial ones.. i'm not sure myself cause i havent tried it myself, but you can check it in samsungi8510.com forum under firmware

*edited* There is an official way to update the phone but it only works for certain firmwares.. you need to download the new pc suite version 7_7.1.47.8 There will be an option "Phone Software Update" to update your phone

note that if your phone firmware isn't supported the message "Phone software updater does not support the connected model" will appear.

hi guys, im using innov8 but the mms i received only got small, why? the setting there got small and large pic, but i set it to large d..haiz..help me plz

just changed my FW to Taiwan firmware (May 2009).. not really sure if the battery life improved, doesn't feel that the phone is faster. the audio video sync problem is still present. also, the anti shake and wdr settings still can't be saved.



what is your phone firmware? i'm using ZXIE1 and i'm able to receive mms up to 480 x 360 (small)

guys how to use the gps? I installed the garminxt but cant find the signal, I use G810 b4 this, and it can be done by searching for satellite first, but already done that still cant get any signal..

Definitely go for Omnia HD i8910. It's like comparing i8910 (N97) with innov8 (N95). considering the age, innov8 is old now.

i hav a q abt the inoova8 .. i just got it b4 like a month and i really like it but im facing this stupid prob which its i was texting and my text was so long it reached like 6msgs in one ! so the phone converted the text msg to multimedia msg !

how can i stop it from doing that !? i want to just send text msg nt a multimedia msg !

hey there.. welcome2.. the answer is no.. u just can't.. it will automatically convert to MMS once it reaches more than 5 pages IINM.. hope this helps

oh thats nt good ! its just annoying y does it do that ! i had n70 b4 and never had a prob i used to like write 8pages!

i think you just have to live with it.. been doing that since FP2.. blame nokia and symbian anyway this thread is not much alive, since samsung need a better strategy to keep its customer contribute the the community.. so do not expect fast response.. lol..

if you noticed some innov8 users have moved on to Omnia HD. Well, this is one of the few reasons i sold off my Innov8, coz its community is not much fun, not for a long time at least. Probably few months later the Omnia HD thread will have the same fate..
