hi i just brought this phone last week .... in my opinion this phone is great ... but i have found some bug in this phone and now before u all buy better u all read below and make sure that u has no regret to buy this set .....

1 . this phone is not preinstall any maps for gps... so u need to buy 3rd party application in order to use your gps without charging your phone bill ... so i install garmin mobile xt v 5.0 ... after complete my installation then i try to run the garmin ....but the program suddenly close by itself  ... then i try to install other application like call filter , blacklist etc .. and i found also all the program also cannot run .... then i go to FMG talk to the technician and they said this firmware cannot suport any 3rd party program ... they said need to wait for 2 ,3 month for upcoming firmware .... so if you is somebody know and intrested to install any extra application ... better u think before buying this phone ...

2. i`m now having  i-tech bluethooh clip D radio .... and  try to pairing with this phone... but the problem is .... this phone cannot support all i-tech bluethooh brand and cannot pairing it  .... so then i try to pair with other bluethooh brand like jabra , nokia ,se and i found all can work with this phone ..... i more thing with this new symbian .... normally when u want to pair with any bluethooh device ... u need to key in the bluethooh device password (normally 0000) ...but with this new platfrom ... there is no need to key in your password ... so it`s automatically pairing with your bt device ...  i think that why all i-tech bt model cannot pair bacause they using diffrent password (8888)

3. front camera is only can use for 3g calling .... cannot use for self taking picture ...

4.when someone calling ... b4 this i`m using n95 and i set at my ringtone to say the name of the caller ... but with this phone u cannot do it bacause no option to do that ....

so far i only found this problem with my phone compare to my n95 ... i hope samsung can update thir firmware as early as possible .. but overall i`m very setisfied with the battery performance and superb 8mp digital camera ... also with full web browsing and watch high quality audio and video ....

about no 3, I've used SGH-L760 and the front camera can take pics in camera mode. kinda weird that they dropped this option in the inov8

Added on November 11, 2008, 10:36 amanother thing, I read in gsmarena forum that the media viewer, specifically the picture viewer, is quite slow when viewing pictures... does that happens to you guys?

shutter speed is shutter speed, resolution is resolution.

what do you mean by, too slow for you? are you going to shoot pictures while jogging?

so reducing the resolution won't reduce the shutter speed laa?? i thought the post-processing time for pictures will reduce also if the size is less?? nevermind maybe i got mix up laa.. then its a -1 for me on buying this monster laa..

slow shutter speed causes more blurry pics especially when there are movements.. not all things can stay still in a period of time u know?? especially cats.. wink.gif

p/s : my g810 last time always produce mild blurry pics coz of the slow shutter speed.. image stabilizer do improve the quality but still.. rolleyes.gif

don't have any problem..just a minor prob where my phone batt goes down very fast once i installed garmin 5.0.10...i didn't switch it on and i'm sure it's not running in the background as well because i switch off the phone n on it. Will tell u guys tml as now i have disabled the remote GPS. Tonight will full charge it to see if the battery will go down to 3 bars or not tomorrow.

about the pict viewer, i think it's only occurs on the initial startup, once you are in it, it's not slow and very smooth.

there's always the sports scene mode..i played with it today comparing it, though might b unfair to a SE C902, innov8 gives a good picture which is not blur n good but the SE produces a blur pict.

Hmmm... Battery seems to last for about 1-1 1/2 day for my dad who keep exploring his phone since he just bought it few days ago...Probably too excited, black & white phone jump straight to Innov8, much for him to play with biggrin.gif

Ive encountered some bit lags when switching menus and twice the icons just wouldn't load still i had to turn the phone on and off. No ideas what happened though.

Just wondering if anyone found TV Cable for Innov8? I went Samsung Center buy for Omnia and Ordered for Innov8, not mistaken its around RM80, a bit pricey since Omnia's is like RM54.XX
Still looking for In Car Charger as well... Anyone has?

I'm sure it can be used with the Innov8 since the 3.5mm connector is the same.
