As long as you have a loan with any financial institution that does reporting to Bank Negara, your information will be captured and reflected in the CCRIS. And if you are asking about the amount captured in the CCRIS, that amount is always based on the monthly outstanding statement balance in the statement. If you do what you do, the statement will always have zero balance so there shouldnt be any outstanding balance reported in the CCRIS

However, your card account will still be in the CCRIS and will probably look like this for the credit card. Which is good!!!:

0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Some banks like OCBC will look at the past 6-months record. Subsequent 1 1 1 however makes the credit record looks bad. Without the process going through a loan officer, I would say this looks pretty bad and if this was a mortgage application, the Loan-toValue ratio would be reduced from 90% to 80%.

Hello, yes once you have settled the account it is cleared from CCRIS and whatever record you see in your printed CCRIS is the one the banks will see (unless you have or had an account with the bank you will make an application to)

On that note, the banks actually see less information that you do because they get to ONLY see:

1) Your type of loan
2) Your outstanding
3) Your loan limit (original loan amount)
4) Your payment records.

They cant even see the account number!

Anyway, information accurate as per my experience. Tata!

As far as my banks are concerned, they would have no way of knowing you had those loans because they were already cleared.

Unless you had applied to a particular bank, and then they rejected because of your CCRIS record, and then you cleared the payment, and then you reapplied to the same bank, of course they know la hahahaha

I dont know where that bank is getting the info from. Did you apply to that bank previously? EasyRHB was it?

It's because when I apply mortgage for my clients, as long as the loans are fully settled, and the client checks with BNM for their CCRIS, the bank they applied the mortgages to wont see them either...

Is the loan you just settled from the same bank you are applying for the personal loan?

Yes it is a good idea to register so you can get your username and passcode, that way you can check your CTOS periodically.

As a mortgage broker I will tell you that the banks will check and report on your CTOS anyway, so you might as well keep yourself updated by registering your CTOS

There are 4 main things in your CCRIS record that the banks (when you need to apply for a loan) can see and they are:

1. your loan type (housing loan, hirepurchase, CC, etc)
2. Your original loan amount
3. Your outstanding balance
4. Your repayment records (12 months rolling)

If you only pay 50% (or are you referring to 5% instead?) of your credit card every month, then then your outstading balance of the cards will be updated to the CCRIS every month.

However, your repayment schedule will still look nice, as there will not be any late payment recorded as your are sill paying at least 5% every single month.

Well unless you cancel your cards, your late payments will still appear in the record

But if it is just for a few days (not until next month) there shouldnt be a problem la, normal la people pay a few days late. banks understand. but if you carry this late payments over to next month they would know that you are screwing up with the payments....

If you really cant take any bad CCRIS records.. what youcould do is to pay off the cards and cancel it. that way the records will be gone from the CCRIS in a few days and you would be so good to go!

hahaha although I cant confirm this, but since you are not paying them, I dont think they would do more than what is necessary.

1. Companies report clients so that they can recoup the loses since these clients will find it difficult to get future services from banks/companies due to their bad record

2. Banks (and companies) that you need services from will ask CTOS for these records to check if the would-be clients have a good and clean record.

As such, I don't think they would do what is more than necessary as far as your records are concerned...

Pending means the banks is still processing or the processing got halted pending for new documents.

Approved by FI means approved by financial institution la, means the loan has been approved, but not yet accepted.

Since the loan has not been accepted yet, it may be possible to apply for another loan and the bank you are applying from will not take the other "approved by FI" loan into calculation of your commitments when you apply for a new housing loan.

If you havent applied for any loan for the other house yet you can let me know and I will help smile.gif

Usually people will wait until both LO are out before they sign. They sign the LOs together and no one is suspicious lol!

Yes, a client of mine had a CTOS filed by Maxis and her housing loan had to be halted until the CTOS account was cleared.

It depends on the banks that you are trying to apply to. The bank in question were OCBC and Maybank, and they looked into her CTOS records and there was about RM300+ of payments that were due to Maxis. So I helped her clear the payments to Maxis and had them print the confirmation by Maxis that the payment had already been made which I sent to OCBC and Maybank's loan department.

It's important to note that different banks have different CTOS policy, I know a number of banks that do not look at the CTOS records at all.

tl;dr: Depending on the bank's policy, they may or may not look into your CTOS record, or disregard the record if it is too small

As for CTOS, there will be a record of you and it will stay there even after you have made the payment, but it will state that you HAVE made the payment. You loan applications may or may not be affected depending on the banks that you have applied to.

I have many clients who have had issues with AEON, and after repayment their loans were approved. CTOS with companies like AEON or ASTRO aren't that big a deal. CTOS with the banks on the other hand, can be quite the hassle.

For most banks, as long as that CTOS issue isn't with another bank, then there shouldnt be a problem after you can prove that you have made the payment. For CTOS issues with other banks, you would need to wait one or 2 years before your application for another bank can be entertained.

But all in ALL, it is all up to the discretion of the loan department. I tend to argue successfully for my clients though. Let me know if you need help with mortgages

I deal mainly in mortgages so it may be a little different. But as I mentioned, the CTOS records can be ignored by the bank if you pay up. GOod luck to your car purchase though
