Rubbish. CTOS cases will still be referred even though you have settled with them. It will stick with you forever. CTOS needs to be shut down. Period.

What I ment is from the date it says settled in CTOS you need to wait a year , before can apply for any loan. Yes CTOS record is permenant, but if debt settled it is listed as that in CTOS.

best is just pledge fd with public bank and get credit card, then wait 6 months to a year , maintain the card in good standing and you should be able to get car loan easily provided minimum salary etc done well.

Hi people,

i cleared my CTOS last May 2012, how long does it take to remove my name from system?

is there any faster way to remove it? as i wanna get car loan

INFORMATION ON CTOS IS PERMANENT, It can only be updated to reflect if DEBT settled. But it still shows you used to owe them and had lapsed in repayments.

ya, best to see a bank officer and present your case and see what are the chances before actually applying

it will reduce your loan amount for housing loan.

the more commitments you have i.e car, motor and credit card balance

the less you can borrow for housing
