Hi. May I ask here regarding ccris report. How long the credit application report will be kept in ccris report?

This is because I applied for credit card in July last year and when I inquired the bank, I was informed that my application was rejected in the same month and I asked the bank to update the credit bureaus. In December, I found out that the application is still listed in my ccris as pending. I emailed the bank to update the ccris which the bank informed that they will take action.

Now, it is already March, the application is still listed as pending in my ccris report. I want to make big purchase in May, hence I want to apply a new credit card and I afraid that it might affect the application if the application I made in July last year is still in my ccris report as pending. I thought that the credit application will disappear from my ccris after 6 months, but no? How long it will be there?

Maybe that bank want to play safe?...they will wait a period of time to see any other failure to the score card?
Maybe you can check your on CCRIS to determine if the bank is tell the truth?

what do you mean by 'they will wait a period of time to see any other failure to the score card'?

I check my ccriss online every month to see if the application is still there. I thought after 6 month, it will be gone. This is not normal right? Then I have no other choice but to CC my email to BNM so that action will be taken.

just found this....

Answer:
The credit report only shows outstanding or active accounts, pending credit application, and approved credit applications for the last 12 months.

wow, thanks! i have been googling for the past 6 months, can't find the answer.

Will enquire the bank & BNM whether pending application = rejected application.

Thanks a lot!

i frequently check my ccris online. i have a house loan approved somewhere in march last year - placed under the 'application for credit'.

when i check in February, the housing loan is still there however this month it disappear from the list..!! i check if somehow it move up to 'outstanding credit' but nope, its not there.

is this normal.. for the loan missing from ccris? fyi i haven't start paying for the loan yet (same goes to other house owner)

i called BNM but they said i need to check with the bank itself. i call the bank service center, they couldn't find my housing loan. but i spoke with my banker - he said the loan is still there.

i know it sounds stupid - for me to believe the loan is cancelled. anyhow i will be informed right..? just that, i feel disturb with this issue.. T__T

check your loan agreement/offer which you have signed. can they terminate the loan? and how?

Update on the above issue:

I emailed the bank regarding the status of their so-called 'action'. The bank replied that the matter has been escalated to the respective unit but the application was still there in my eCCRIS as pending. I thought "ohh...maybe need 12 months to clear.", so I did nothing since then but last month, I applied for another CC in different bank. The application was rejected and I was surprised that the application was never appeared in my eCCRIS (I waited for quite some time for it to appear).

The new application was never appeared but the earlier application was still there as 'PENDING'. So I conclude that it is the bank's issue (I don't need to wait for 12 months), hence I submitted a form for verification in the eCCRIS. The verification approved on the next working day and the pending application for CC is no longer there. Okay guys don't wait for 12 months to clear your pending application. bruce.gif

Hi. I also facing the same thing. I applied for 4 banks on house loan. In the end all also approved. Then of course only 1 bank can choose and i rejected the 3 banks. So  2 banks already deleted the enquirers/status in my crisis but only 1 bank left is still showing 'PENDING FOR CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE'. I was just wonder why other bank can remove but this bank still maintain.

Can I request by calling them or find the mortgage consultant to ask them remove?

Maybe my case is different...

you can try either way.. it shouldn't take long to remove. If they still do not remove, just submit the form in eccris.
