dear all sifus, please comment.....

Lately, I hv an ex-colleague would like to apply for car loan but he had defaulted credit card years ago.......
He made full settlement to clear off this CC debt and applied for car loan 2 weeks later....and now he's clear of any debts, living without debt, no credit card, no car and house loan....
He's working for a bank now and applied for car loan under staff rate....

What is the chances his car loan application would be approved?

IMO, staff should have higher chance.

What is my chances of getting loan or cc approve if my ccris show 11112222222? My salary is 180k p.a and only have a car loan to service. Have checked CTOS which is clean. I have misunderstood the payment before therefore not able to get so clean on ccris. I finallyuncerstand today that even if you are late a day in making your payment, it will still reflect as 1 miss payment. Not before 15th as mentioned by some bros and sis here earlier.

Low.
But if you apply at the similar bank where all your accounts is at then maybe higher chance.
If you looking for car loan then most probably they will reject you or ask for lower margin.

Got a friend, thru me wanna ask

If u owe 10k and didnt pay up...for few years...accumulated till max 30k....possible to nego with bank, actual amount + legal fees without paying the interest accured?

If he wanted to sell a properties, will the bank know, about it and recoup back the money?

thanks.
*
If you go to nego with bank then not possible.
If you ask AKPK to help then possible.

If the property belongs to the bank which you owe money to then they will know.
But recoup of money may not be possible.

Hi , i'm trying for a car loan and i have also check my CCRIS and i dont have any creadit history as i have not take any loan . The bank officer said must create credit history then only have a higher chance of getting the loan. Has anyone encounter this before ?

No credit card?
How old are you?
Yes, bank officer is right.
You are like a piece of blank paper and risk is high especially if you are fresh graduate.
Most probably they will need guarantor so u can always use your parents as guarantor.

best is just pledge fd with public bank and get credit card, then wait 6 months to a year , maintain the card in good standing and you should be able to get car loan easily provided minimum salary etc done well.

They are from the Public domain and they are being sold to banks for a price. How does that work out you may ask. And why are these information kept indefinitely by them and why are they not updated. Who gave them the authority to sell it since it should be free, Who regulates them. As far as I know BNM doesn't. They are a business entity which sells information and this information are use by Financial Institution for character profiling. Shouldn't something like this be regulated. And if they are not regulated by any Government ACT they should be shut down because the information provided by them could be flawed and causes damage to the Public.

yup...agree...my xperience...i'm a director of one company thats about to be shut down...a few years ago came out small article in newspaper that said inland revenue will check on the company and if there're any due to IRB, then IRB will chase the company for payment before the company shut down....and mind yer all...the article didnt stated if my company really owes IRB (infact i checked with IRB, NOTHING due)...IRB was just making general statement only in the article.....buttttttt......this stupid bloody ctos took the statement by IRB in the article and linked it & noted it in their record which link to my name as director....when i called ctos is really the company owes IRB? has IRB charged anything? ctos said they dont know...and if I want the record to be rectified, ctos said i need to get clearence letter from IRB.....what the f##king hell i said....you all put something into your record which is really not very clear (and accurate)....and then you expect me to go all the way to IRB to clear my name (for which my name is actually have no prob wit IRB)...do you know thatsnot quite easy to deal with IRB to get that clearance letter....

so until now my record with ctos still like that....i hope in future some reasonable officer or minister will really look into this ctos thing and bang them really f##king good...

my vote : just leave all this credit history things to BNM....ctos juz can go to hell...

hi there everybody, i need some help in answering some doubts before i even apply for a car loans. i hv a cc problem. debt 4k. after consulting the officers of the bank, i agree to pay by installments of 200 per month for 20 months. i already pay up to 6 months. in between the month i did skip but the month later i also pay for the previous month (eg = skipped april, then i pay in may 400 instead of 200). this july 2011, i am able to pay up the total sum of the balance so that i will no longer owe anything since the cc already canceled. i want to buy a car after this. but when i read all the post for this topic (oh yes i read all of em) i just want to be sure when is the best and safe time to apply for a car loan.
a) should i wait for few months or a year?
b)what is my chances?
c)i really learned my lesson well with the credit card. now i only use a debit mastercard. is a debit mc can be use to pay at the hotels (i travel a lot for my job) because i am tired bringing a lot of cash around (dangerous la especially for woman la) since it is like a prepaid, i can always bank in money for the card and use so i know my limits. but i dont know to what extent the usage of the card.
d)after i pay the balance of the cc, for years to come, let say after 10 years, will i able to secure a house loan?

i hope u guys can advise me in this matter since i am really want to change into a better life and secure better ratings in banking history. blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif

6 months should be sufficient.
However, depending on your income level and car that you are buying.
If you afraid of your chances, you can always add in guarantor or lower your margin for car loan.
And then you start to pay prompt for your car loan then going forward you shouldn't have much issue on housing loan either.
I will advise you to at least have a credit card even though you don't plan to use it.
Also good for bank record that you have a credit card and has been paying promptly with low usage.

Not a rule but that is what take count for the banks.
Suggest you to apply again after 12 months.
Also, no point keep trying if bank reject you.
1 bank reject you then all other will follow suit.

I paid full settlement my personal loan in 2010, before that my account status already Under Pemerhatian. So after kawtim the loan, bank give me a release letter saying that full amount has been made. Last year I went to Bank Negara just to check my CCRIS record and the status account still there Under Pemerhatian. I ask one of the customer service and they said, they will contact that bank. Last week I check again at Bank Negara but the status still there. Should I ask Bank Negara or the Bank?
