This is actually very very very good news to all. CTOS has been very naughty to my clients and if this move by MOF puts a leash on them, all the better.

Settle the bills and should be no problem as telco in CTOS is not a big issue for bank but must settle it . Every bank / credit service have their reason to reject ur loan . Please make sure ur income is sufficient and CCRISS/CTOS is cleanTelco like maxis, celcom or digi include? If applying for credit card, what the bank most view on the ccris report? QUOTE(13aby @ Dec 22 2014, 03:38 PM) . Yes, no one including bank cannot get your ctos report without your concern, BUT, when you are applying a loan, there will request you to sign to allow them to get or check with any CRA including ctos and ccris for your record or report. If you don't agree with the terms, your loan will not be process. Means that, bank will still get your report from ctos and ccris |

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Dec 22 2014, 12:03 PM) So this means that P1 and those gyms can no longer have upper hand when their customers try to break their contracts. This act is to means to treat equally fair to a personal and a Financial institute, If you do not apply any loan or do not grant any permission to anyone to access your data, ctos or others CRA shouldn't reveal your records to them.Very good news for the consumer. In the event your apply a loan or apply something with FI or even Telco or apply for a job, will you grant permission for the FI or Telco or the company you wanted to apply a job to get your report from CTOS? sure you will, unless you don't want the loan or job. CRA like CTOS need to remove those record where the case or default has been settle for more than 24 months provided you provide all the supporting documents. this is actually good and fair to us, at least you have a chance to clear all those old and bad record and make your record clean. This act suppose to enforce in 15/04/14, but delay to 15/10/14, but I had requested CTOS to removed my old record in July, and they do. Now. I am clean |

CCRIS is updated every month on the 15thRecords in CCRIS are kept on a past 12-mths basis Cutting CC does not really mean much in that sense when you are applying for Loan. Is the missed payment that triggers red-flags For the missed payments to "go away" you need 12-mths |

When you cut it, you need to get a letter of cancellation by the bank that issued your credit card, before the bank you are applying your mortgage to would agree to disregard your total outstanding that adds up to your total commitment, thus increasing your DSR... it is best that you settle your CC O/S and cancel the cards before applying for a loan though firstQUOTE(cfa28 @ Dec 23 2014, 11:08 AM) CCRIS is updated every month on the 15th Once you cancel the cards, and the CCRIS is updated on the 15th, the whole loan item would be removed from your CCRIS. this is best done if you are a bad paymaster and still need to buy a house, so what you do is you settle and cancel the loans (cc, hp, pl, anything), wait until the CCRIS clears, and then you apply for the loan.Records in CCRIS are kept on a past 12-mths basis Cutting CC does not really mean much in that sense when you are applying for Loan. Is the missed payment that triggers red-flags For the missed payments to "go away" you need 12-mths However, if you have a bad CCRIS repayment records, and you applied for a loan, gets it rejected because of being a bad pay master, and then you settle off those loans that you have a bad record with... the bank already remembers of you bad credit history and would most likely reject your appeal even if you settle and cancel those loans off. |
