Looks like play is suspended, is it due to the rain? Damn, means Nadal will get to review his performance and adapt it against Murray

QUOTE(praetorian @ Sep 7 2008, 07:07 AM) Well my 1st prediction came out correct, Fed beat Nol, Murray is on the verge of beating Nadal, but seriously, they SHOULD of played BOTH semi finals simultaneously , due to heavy rain the Nadal vs Murray match is postponed to the next day... ,if Murray wins this in straight sets, and recovers well, I like his chances against Federer in the Final , who has a extra day rest. If Nadal wins the semi final, naturally a 5 setter, then its is Fed with a huge advantage, if Nadal doesn't recover quickly enough and with the US Open courts being a very fast surface, I expect Fed to exact his revenge on Nadal for the drubbing he received in this year's French Open final. If its a Fed vs Murray final, I see Andy having a slight advantage ONLY if he beats Nadal in straight sets, if it goes to a 5th set, and he wins, my $$$ is on Fed. QUOTE(navilink @ Sep 7 2008, 10:05 AM) Murray will be able to beat Nadal...if not even if Nadal won it will be a 5 setters...will make Nadal tired and then Federer will win US Open! yahoo! 13 Grand Slams! Well. we are talking about Nadal here who is young and brimming with confidence. If he did came back from 2 sets down, it might boost his mental strength and gives him more confidence in the final.Such things behave both ways. Might be positive or negative if it goes to a 5 setter. Since Nadal the world No.1 currently, I'm sure he can manage to dig out something when he's in the final (but I hope not too, and of course I hope Fedex can win it) I really admire Fed for his on going personality, can see it from his interview with CBS. The interviewer asked him who he preferred as opponents in the final. He joked that all he wants is the US Open title, but given the choice he'll prefer to meet Nadal due to their great rivalry. (He might have chosen Murray since it's a 'easier' opponent for him) ADDED : so wat time the match gonna continue? This post has been edited by shortleg88: Sep 7 2008, 01:01 PM |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Sep 7 2008, 01:08 PM) 2AM Malaysian time Monday morning. Followed by the woman's final straight?Nadal has a chance, has a break on the third set and is serving for a 4-2 lead. He'd be a set down, it'd be hard but it's do-able. The surprise factor for Murray is gone, which is a good thing. Hopefully, Nadal will nick it. : / |
