QUOTE(Thrust @ Aug 17 2008, 01:23 PM) Hi guys, Lets say given the below 2 choices to Federer, which one do you think he would choose? 1) A French Open title 2) An Olympics gold medal I personally think that Federer would want the French Open title more as achieving a career grand slam is a much much harder feat. Also given the rich history of grand slam tournaments, a person who can achieve a career grand slam will always be remembered in the tennis world.

I think Gonzo has around 30% chance of beating Federer. Gonzo plays well from what I saw in the Olympics finals.

Later Roger is going to take Djoker down!!! Roger is playing well now.
By the way, I think Roger should hit the gym more often to build himself up to compete against the young guns just like Agassi did before. Noticed Roger's arms are a little thin.

My prediction, the final Nadal vs Federer will be very very interesting. Nadal should triumph with home crowd support. Federer gaining back no.1 should not be possible this year. Perhaps next year.

Damn man, yesterday Monfils was the better player only that he's not mentally strong enough yet. Those booming forehands & backhand suddenly disappears when he's leading switching to a defensive game. It'll be much more interesting if the finals was Monfils-Murray

Well guys, to be frank I myself thinks Ferrero don't stand much of a chance to win. His campaign would most probably end in the 3rd round vs Roddick.
Anyhow, some of the dangermen in Roger's quarter are Safin, Tipsarevic, Del Potro and Cilic.

It doesn't matter when Fed retires. I'd rate a player by what he's achieved in his carrier not only looking at the end of his career. So although if he nvr win a title from now on, he's still undoubtedly the most gifted and talented player ever.
By they way, Nadal will conquer all the clay court tournements he enters this year!!

I see another Nadal-Federer final shaping up. From the way Roger's playing he'll end up being crushed again if he is to meet Nadal.

Cmon man..... I'm backing Gonzo to win the French Open. I think he deserves a grand slam title under his belt. Anyhow I'd be happy too if Robredo or Monfils wins it.

Congratulations to Roger. Pity that the final was sort of an anticlimax. Robin couldn't reproduce the form that saw him knock off Ferrer, Nadal, Davydenko & Gonzo. Great to see history made anyhow!!
