Early 5 set thriller.
Both left handers a handful. Another 5 set thriller for Nadal in the final? Fatigue.... |

QUOTE(Bepeon @ Jan 31 2009, 10:57 AM) Q. When you hit a great shot, and you open your palm, what do you mean by this? Verdasco looks arrogant...was worried when gave Nadal a hard time.FERNANDO VERDASCO: Nothing. Is just something that I have with my friend. Is just like hi, you know. But only one special thing I have with one friend that is here with me. The same like do this (clenching fist). Just one thing more. To have motivation and be all the time 100% in the match. Haha. This will answer your question. =) Anyway, don't think Nadal will be so tired that it will affect his performance against Roger.. Because before that he didn't play any long matches at all, all straight sets victory. Even Roger had a 5 setters against Berdych, and its under the sun while this match was in night. Its a great match, no doubt. But the end there 2 double faults, not the right way to lose a such epic match haha. Come on Safina! Win your 1st grand slam final today! Did not know that they were team mates in Davis cup But Nadal's 5 set & 5 hour match was yesterday. Only a few days to recuperate. Federer surely will play a fast game to defeat Nadal. Come on Safina...do all of us a favor...annihilate the monster This post has been edited by Raikkonen: Jan 31 2009, 12:43 PM |

A worthy World #1
Nuts. 5 sets in the semis and another in the final...still...he manage to pull it out Sad though to see Federer cried Federer...you are one of the greatest tennis player in the world. Nadal not yet but he's on his way. Champions comes and goes. Sampras left...Federer came. When Federer left one day...others surely will take his place. Nothing last forever in this world. Federer wants his 14th slams badly...that's why he was so emotional last night.

Federer emotional even during the match.
Even Vijay said that he never saw Federer that emotional (Federer screamed 'Come on' during the match) |

I hope Nadal brush up his english a little more.
Fernando Alonso spoke better english than him. Federer's english is excellent |

QUOTE(artemis348 @ Feb 4 2009, 02:26 PM) That's exactly my point. Federer is already past his prime, and now Nadal is in his prime. So they are not able to compete during both their primes. Federer has a proven period of domination. He only could not beat Nadal in Roland Garros. Agree 27 year old Federer. Maybe it's time to retire |

Better to retire at his peak.
Look at Bjorn Borg...retired at age 26. |

Maybe it's time to face reality that there's a new champ in town.
It is inevitable Ironically...Borg was 26 and McEnroe was 22/23.. Similar like Federer and Nadal's age difference at the moment |

I'm amazed by Nadal's fitness in the final of Australian Open.
How the heck to stop this guy Although it lasted 5 sets. |

No wonder Nadal lost...three(3) sets only.
If five(5) sets sure he'll win |
