what time is fed's match? i really want him to win this. i did not think fed and wawrinka will make it this far, and i dont think he did either coz he was focusing on the singles. oh well, he DID say he had a feeling he was going to win something from this olympics. he just didnt specify WHICH event he was gonna win. wont it be great if both fed and nadal win gold?lol

QUOTE(ellimist @ Aug 16 2008, 03:25 PM) I thought Nadal already overtook him? But probably I'm misinformed nadal will be number one on monday. the rankings come out that day. poor fed, 237 weeks at number one over

federer had his chance. 4 and a half freaking years he was untouchable and now nadal deserves his chance. of course, if nadal falls and fed takes it back, i for one am not complaining. maybe federer will see this as a new challenge and try to get back his number one spot. who knows? we shall see if this number 2 spot will make him a better player or make him worse.

QUOTE(retrosnare @ Aug 19 2008, 05:37 PM) FEDERER THIS IS THE END!!!!! IT IS NOW THE RIVALRY BETWEEN RAFA AND NOLE!!!!! youngster on the way to flip da side of tennis..... THANX FEDERER FOR THE GAME WE ALL HAVE SEEN FOR THE PAST YEARS!!!!! haiz, it wil be the end for federer if federer says it is the end. until then, federer is still around, playing his unique tennis that got me hooked to the game, and while nadal gets to be number 1, can he keep the spot for 235 weeks consecutively? i dont think so. but that is just me. if federer cant bounce back, i dont mind as long as he dont stop trying. to me, federer is one of the best players in the world. even nadal says so

QUOTE(voscar @ Aug 23 2008, 07:17 PM) My guess is----Federer will be beaten by Stepanek in the third round. It already happened once this year. If Federer can reach semi-final, then it's already a success. i hate to say this, but i have to agree with you. not about fed being beaten by stepanek, about him reaching the semis as a success

QUOTE(diegoadriadona @ Sep 5 2008, 09:50 PM) this has to be the way..fed vs djoko... If federer really wants to win this tournament..he has to prove himself worthy of it IF federer wants to win the tournament? what do you mean by IF? of coz he wants to win it.

QUOTE(navilink @ Sep 6 2008, 09:23 AM) i guess after he's stripped from no.1 he can now celebrate more without being viewed as arrogant....last time win as no. 1 he looked cool only lol, agreed. now he can feel like how nadal felt. i mean, in the sense that winning every match is important, and not just the finals.
