If Murray is determined, Federer is more determined!!

Federer got advantage of playing for 5 consecutive US Open so not much stress, but Murray first Grand Slam final. Guess he will collapse under the pressure, and anyway Federer is more talented biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Bepeon @ Sep 8 2008, 08:09 AM)
Yeah, excellent performance by Murray... but the match Djokovic vs Federer, i really saw glimpse of the real Federer... the one that can create crazy shots that stun everyone watching.... Well, although its hard to make conclusion with just one match, i think Federer is really determined, as much as Murray to win the US Open...

Federer is out there to prove something. No doubt Murray is very confident, but this is his first Grand slam final, he may be inexperience... just like what happen to Djokovic last year in the final.
I hope Federer will win.

i saw that 'special' shot that federer made against djoker, saw it on tv news. when djoker hit the ball to the base, federer ran to the back in trying to rescue the ball and hit a huge overhead shot and djoker just stood at the net there and watch the ball sailed over his head and hit inside the court...AWESOME...

YEY! Federer 6-2 7-5 6-2 Murray! such a nice moment for him to win a grand slam without no.1 status...it feels relaxed and satisfied for Fed!

QUOTE(Nostalgia @ Sep 10 2008, 12:44 AM)
Roger played a very good game against Murray and it was obvious that Murray's focus was gone when he lost the 2nd set. If Murray took the 2nd set, it would've been a very different ball game. However, I think Roger gained a lot of confidence after his win against Novak and it showed in the final. His trademark forehands were all hitting the targets. I also like that Roger is moving to the net more often nowadays. Congrats Roger! Didn't waste my effort waking up at 4.30am!  tongue.gif

ya nice to see federer going to the net...he his the final shot at the net and although murray returned, but didn't cross the net biggrin.gif such a satisfaction for the final shot!!! that's what i called the grand SLAM shot!

what Federer needs now is a French Open Grand Slam...after that he can retire, although might tied with Pete Sampras, but Federer can boast that he won all the 4 Grand Slam, thus a complete tennis player

he already said that he won't want to do the same like borg retiring early... he wants to play as long as his body allows him to be competitive and pit against the newer and better generations in many years to come... something like agassi...

The only worry I have is those PAS guys will come out with all kinds of protest saying the players' attire is inappropriate etc etc.
It'll be serious embarrassment for the country if such thing happens.
