Oh my god, Ana has lost to Coin in 3 sets... Very disappointing. I thought she would win the match after coming back in the 2nd set.. but she's seriously not at her best at the moment..... Missed quite a few forehands...

I don't think Ryler De Heart has the ability to beat Nadal either... These top players in men are really consistent, Djokovic, Nadal and Federer. Normally they don't lose before quarterfinals in grand slams compared to WTA players.. Emm..
Lolz, tomorrow will be Saturday and i get to watch all the US Open matches. Some really good matches coming up tomorrow such as Zheng Jie vs Jankovic, Roddick vs Gulbis, Davenport vs Bartoli. Federer and Djokovic are playing their 2nd round matches as well. =) |

QUOTE(Nostalgia @ Aug 29 2008, 11:42 AM) Yeah I couldn't believe it either. Did you watch the match? I didn't but I'm assuming Ana made loads of errors and thus, giving away many free points. She hasn't been her usual self since the win at Roland Garros.. Yeah she was making many errors. But between 2nd set to early of 3rd set, i thought that her forehand had come back..... but then errors came back and so the upset. =( I hope Jankovic will do better..... Its very disappointing. Nadal won, as expected, easily. ![]() Red pants... WEIRD This post has been edited by Bepeon: Aug 29 2008, 12:20 PM |

Davenport is abit too old for US Open isn't it?
I think Williams sisters have a big chance.. They may face each other in quarters, and who come out from that match will win US Open. Or perhaps Dementieva or Safina... they are the players on fire.. Mauresmo winning would be COOL. ![]() |

Nothing fancy? Well, she has one of the sweetest groundstrokes... very smooth.. Bartoli will have a tough time playing against her. But both are slow in terms of movement.. so it would be interesting.
Today's Schedule QUOTE Arthur Ashe Stadium - Start time 11PM As i have said, many exciting matches coming up today.. especially Roddick vs Gulbis... Gulbis is an upcoming player and i will not be surprised if he beats Roddick. Zheng Jie, China, vs. Jelena Jankovic (2), Serbia Thiago Alves, Brazil, vs. Roger Federer (2), Switzerland Robert Kendrick, United States, vs. Novak Djokovic (3), Serbia Night Session - Start time 7AM Lindsay Davenport (23), United States, vs. Marion Bartoli (12), France Andy Roddick (8), United States, vs. Ernests Gulbis, Latvia Louis Armstrong Stadium - Start time 11PM Bobby Reynolds, United States, vs. Fernando Gonzalez (11), Chile Elena Dementieva (5), Russia, vs. Anne Keothavong, Britain Katarina Srebotnik (28), Slovenia, vs. Svetlana Kuznetsova (3), Russia Tommy Robredo (15), Spain, vs. Marat Safin, Russia Grandstand - Start time 11PM Nikolay Davydenko (5), Russia, vs. Agustin Calleri, Argentina Marin Cilic (30), Croatia, vs. Robby Ginepri, United States Victoria Azarenka (14), Belarus, vs. Caroline Wozniacki (21), Denmark Carlos Moya, Spain, vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (19), France |

Lolz, welcome.
Nice day of tennis. Got abit of rain at the night sessions... but its just short ones. Zheng Jie is really nice to watch.... Well, not when she serves of course.. Its heart breaking to save match points then unable to hold serve.. Same with Bartoli vs Davenport. Davenport broke Bartoli then got broken... At one point she served 3 double faults!! Gulbis was very impressive at the first set against Roddick, then slowed down.. He's young though.. Roddick won the match at 1AM in US. And also Tsonga, beating Moya in 4 sets... Nice way to come back from injuries. ![]() ![]() |

Well, she had a thumb injury ma (Ivanovic).. But seriously she hasn't been playing well since the French Open victory.
Zheng Jie is quite cute, and she plays well also. |

I see Troicki beating Nadal also..
He actually faced Nadal in Australian Open, had set point in the 1st set then a lead in the 2nd set. Based on your comment, its believable that he can beat Nadal. I hope the crowd will support him. |

Lolz, yesterday was almost the 5 sets day.
Murray vs Melzer, Del Potro vs Simon, Kei Nishikori vs Ferrer, Wawrinka vs Cipolla. Really impressed by Nishikori's play. Although Ferrer is No.4, you can see that Nishikori is way more talented than Ferrer, making Ferrer running here and there. He's just 18 years old... I reckon he can become top 10 in next 2 years. He definitely has like game. I just updated some wallpapers. Have a look. This post has been edited by Bepeon: Aug 31 2008, 10:19 AM |

No. They will concentrate on singles.
Man, its seriously frustrating watching Blake vs Fish. Blake looks like he doesn't want to win the match. I know Fish is his best friend but it doesn't mean that beating him is a crime. He is even shaking his head when he wins a point. Its just plain annoying. Nishikori from Japan. ![]() This post has been edited by Bepeon: Aug 31 2008, 12:31 PM |

But even when he's playing, i don't see the normal intensity in him.. Really disappointing. I thought he would have the 3rd set.. Then choked again.

I think Wozniacki is quite cute too. =) But she will have to face Jankovic now... Tough test for her. But i do see alot of potential from this very young player. =)
Federer will also have to face Stepanek. Won't be easy as well. |

![]() Wozniacki. You will see her against Jelena Jankovic today. She lost to Jankovic in 3 sets in Wimbledon. Yeah, i want to get rid of the flag as well. Monfils thrashed Nalbandian in 3 sets.. Nice. Anyway, we have Dementieva vs Li Na also. |

Today's Schedule
QUOTE Arthur Ashe Stadium - Start time 11PM Caroline Wozniacki (21), Denmark, vs. Jelena Jankovic (2), Serbia Radek Stepanek (28), Czech Republic, vs. Roger Federer (2), Switzerland Andy Roddick (8), United States, vs. Andreas Seppi (31), Italy Night Session - Start time 7AM Elena Dementieva (5), Russia, vs. Li Na, China Marin Cilic (30), Croatia, vs. Novak Djokovic (3), Serbia Louis Armstrong Stadium - Start time 11PM Nikolay Davydenko (5), Russia, vs. Dmitry Tursunov (26), Russia Sybille Bammer (29), Austria, vs. Marion Bartoli (12), France Tommy Robredo (15), Spain, vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (19), France Jarkko Nieminen, Finland, vs. Fernando Gonzalez (11), Chile Grandstand - Start time 11PM Nicolas Almagro (18), Spain, vs. Gilles Muller, Luxembourg Fernando Verdasco (13), Spain, vs. Igor Andreev (23), Russia Patty Schnyder (15), Switzerland, vs. Katarina Srebotnik (28), Slovenia Very interesting schedule for today. First again Jankovic vs Wozniacki, this is like the 3rd time she will play the first match in Ashe.. and last two matches have been tough for her. Then followed by Federer vs Stepanek. Stepanek beat Federer in Rome Masters in May, very dangerous player. Federer will have to improve from his last match to beat him. Then we also have Dementieva vs Li Na. ![]() Blake lost. What a frustrating match. |

Seems like Jankovic is in trouble again, as usual. |

Very impressive performance by Federer. The backhand is totally smoking yesterday. I think Stepanek was surprised by how well Federer return the ball yesterday. Very good.

Lolz, would like to watch more Federer.. but the coverage kept on switching to Muller vs Almargo.... =.=
Are you sure that Djokovic will be through to semi? o.O Roddick has been playing quite well also. ![]() Very nice match between Cilic and Djokovic. I think Cilic has a great potential also, just like Nishikori, Del Potro and Gulbis. They are all very young. Tsonga lost to Robredo in straight sets.. Thats disappointing. |
