Maxis confirmed the iPhone is officially unlock. The plan is up to you to choose and you have to purchase the iPhone with the plan provided, no free iPhone.

For 3g users, RM99 for every month on top of the subscribed Plan.

Cheers

Not sure mate. This is stated on the site.

3 Data included in i-Value Plans applies to GPRS usage only and excludes SMS, mobile content downloads and other subscription based services. Data bundle is for local usage only. While roaming overseas, the prevailing data roaming charges will apply.

Seem like the plan is GPRS only. Not 3G

no, u r wrong. if anyone using maxis postpaid more than rm100 monthly, the plan is quite interested.
*
Not exactly, current value plus plan includes SMS, Data and Calls in the monthly commitment. But this ivalue only includes DATA and Calls, no SMS ...
MY SMSes charges is like RM50 per month... is it still worthwhile for me? Nope

note the GPRS part? It didn't say 3G ... unless GPRS = 3G

Wow hot topic. Finally it's here. Strong rumors are usually true these days, thanks to the internet. The reaction from most of us here is pretty negative towards the plans. But after 2 years, it's really here. My plan? Skip this model and wait for the upcoming one. It would be a different decision for me if it was launched earlier.

GPRS is painfully slow man... Hmm.. iPhone Singtel 16GB cost RM2600 + Celcom UOX plan for those who are under 26 is the best.. But i bought mine for SGD1460 that time.. Hmm.. Oh well.. At least we have it locally..

iPhone 3G launched but plans don't include 3G? With almost full browsing capability, using GPRS is going to be slow.

Btw, just noticed that Maxis' plans are very extensive compared to other telcos

i got questions. confuse...

===============================

first, pls explain.

what is the included usage for the "minutes" & "data"

===========================================
and second,

2 The minutes of usage included in i-Value Plans applies to domestic voice calls only.
3 Data included in i-Value Plans applies to GPRS usage only and excludes SMS, mobile content downloads and other subscription based services. Data bundle is for local usage only. While roaming overseas, the prevailing data roaming charges will apply.

=====================================

so, if i choose the commitment is rm100 per month, this rm100 onli include my GPRS usage and voice call onli?

3G usage and sms/mms will be charges separately?
