Heard from the news that they planned to extend the LRT routes.

Any idea where they lead to?
When will it be completed?
Do you think is a good time to buy houses around that area for own stay/investment?

if you plan to buy investment property, by all means do get one nearby to the existing or the upcoming LRT lines.

U wont loose any money 99% of the time if u do smile.gif

Any idea what are the upcoming LRT lines? As far as i know, it depends on the land acquisition. If they are not able to acquire the land, there is no way they can start work.

Any idea when this project will start and be completed?

@ganz,
Even if work has started, it might take up to 5 years before it can complete *grins*

my 'safe' bet is
now G start talking (2008).. + 5year of implementation
the extension line of kelana jaya to subang jaya only can be completed earliest by 2012.. biggrin.gif (that.. another PRU (Pilihanaraya) ) maybe with new G.. biggrin.gif

@ganz,
And that would mean?! Keep the $ and not make purchases until the line's up?!

if you want to wait until there's something to see, the said properties will already be inflated in price. and if you plan to buy that time, you're already paying extra for the nearby facilities, no? wink.gif

but i still agree with what ganz said, there's still a long time before the implementation begins, so realistically there are still ample time to scout and survey potential areas to invest in, depending on the improvement of our country's public transportation systems.

@livingmonolith,
There are other factors to consider too when purchasing a property. In such uncertain times [then again, when has the economy ever been certain?!], U should ask if U can afford to commit to such heavy investment.

this issue has been discussed before.. maybe not 100% related..

1. do u thing staying at very nearby the station is GOOD? took example Vista Angkasa at Pantai Dalam or .. how congested the area is.. for investment it sound good..

2. just imagine.. work for construction to be done while u staying at that particular area,.. dirt... heavy vehicles

3. Route... is subjective.. even main destination as been announce..
*kota damansara=- cheras
*extension of kelana jaya to somewhere in subang jaya
* extension of existing bukit jalil to puchong

everyone claim ther property development will intersect with this new dev..
biggrin.gif

funny though.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif i just smile..

@ganz,
Smiling is good biggrin.gif

Depends on what U want the property for; if it's for me to live, I wouldn't want it near an LRT station; too congested and not safe for the kids *smiles*

Not so convinced that the Govt will build the LRT fast enough due to:

1) BN lost the selangor state where the new route located
2) Economic slow down expected
3) Still need to feed their cronies eg. toll companies, car dealer with APs

G too busy to handle current affair.. biggrin.gif
actually it nothing to do with local G at Selangor.. the only difficult part is that.. land acquisition.. This is Federal Budget.. but Land is under state government..
arguement.. off course..Federal want to pay rm100 sqft.. but state want rm300 sqft
federal want this route.. state say no way. (becasue their voter don't want lrt to pass their house.. to near..make lots of noise.. but at the same time mumbling about inefficiency of public transport to far from their house)

economic slow down.. actually one way to stimulate economy is to spent.. biggrin.gif

cronies.. by having project (mega project.) they can easily feed their cronies.. biggrin.gif
