I want to get a FULL HD LCD TV/Monitor, my budget is RM1500-RM7000 for 24" to 40". I know the range is big but I have 2 options for planning my setup.

1.Put the TV in the lounge as main TV for everything, my choice is 32", 37" or 40".

2.Put the TV at the side of the lounge as a monitor and gaming because I can't fit my driving wheels in the lounge... my choice is either 24", 26" or 32" TV/Monitor.

I just went to Best Connection and notice there's quite a few new models coming out, and some FULL HD LCD TV are on offer. However I'm a little confuse as I cannot tell the new ones against the slightly older ones and I am afraid if I go for the Offer TV it might be old technology.

The few models I've seen are Sony 32" FULL HD for RM4k+, 40" FULL HD for RM5k, Samsung 32" FULL HD for RM4.4k. There's also some Pioneer and Samsung FULL HD on offer.

It's easy to choose between LCD Monitors because there aren't many variant for FULL HD but when it comes to LCD TV, I really need help.

Personally... I wouldn't bother going FULL HD if I wasn't getting a 50" or larger screen. If below 50", I'd just get a HD Ready TV.

I suppose most people would look at the contrast when getting a TV... besides picture quality. Some HDTVs have better display than others.

I still prefer FULL HD as in case I use it as a monitor (24"-32" case) I will be close enough to tell the difference. And for 36"-40" I would like Full HD even watching from distance (it seems I have this urge to watch TV at really close range just to enjoy the sharpness).

So could you tell me which maker makes better TV and more reliable? And which ones give best out of our bucks? For FULL HD TVs.
