Not really official and real, it's just a beta firmware from SDK. The real firmware will be OFFICIALLY release by Apple by tomorrow and that piece of file will be OFFICIALLY mod by the Dev Team and then we'll have that firmware in our phone. This is just merely updates on the firmware status on wether it's unlockable or not.

Seeing how Apple pulled it off from their servers, looks like the firmware is the real deal. I can them scrambling to "tampal" the looghole taken advantage of by the Dev Team.

Hold your horses, I dont see anything resembling an unlock at all.
Furthermore, the 2.0 firmware if projected to be available officially on the 15th only, and the current build was only available as a linked download, not via the Update feature in iTunes. |

The day may not even be today. You know what they say about premature ejaculation. Plus, are you even willing to put your iPhone to the operating table with complete confidence that the unlock will work without bugs? Be my guest, I'd rather hang back and let others do the honors.

I am sorry...need to ask a rather silly question...
Does it mean that if there is a stable unlocking method for firmware 2.0, there is already an unlock method for the iphone 3G? Coz i was told that now still don't have unlock method for iphone 3G... How about the jailbreaking of iphone 3G? Is there already any software for this? |
