Any News About ATi Solve The Temperature Problem?

hey guys... i saw this thread ... managed to reduce my card temp from 79 to 55 degrees.... now its spinning at 50% fan speed...anyone know if will the card or fan spoil if i set it higher?

guys.. i hav prob here...

after i create profile and save it, all okey...

the prob is when i must run the "appdata" in RUN (step 6)..... here, i stuck becoz i say 'window cannot find [appdata]'......

if i cant run this file, i cant move to the next step...

so, how?? please help??

hey yemz... my guess is ure using win xp rite? go to search....

type the name of ur profile and add a .xml behind....

e.g. Your profile name "yemz88"

search for "yemz88.xml" then right click it and open as notepad...then do ur mods there....

after u save... then activate tht profile again... be sure to turn on the option "view all hidden files" in ur folder... tht should help =)

Will doing this affect the performance? should pinned this if really works without affecting the performance.

i dunno how i do, i just open this file "C:\Document and Setting\Abdul Azim\Local Setting\Application data\ATI\ACE"

yeah... Correct APPDATA folder is hide. just show the hidden file.. u can get it xD. fan speed 50%(4k+ RPM) still ok la.... if 60%(5k+ RPM) > maybe will make more noise la... but really really works lor.... no need to change cooler lor... my fren using Evercool Turbo2 hor the temp also same like me(i using original cooler)... hahaha....

This does not affect performance.Increase up to 100% also nevermind,But you must stand with the noise lor

ya lor ya lor... i wanna try it Automatic... but... 20% speed when idle, when increasing the loading then also increase the fan speed... duno can do this script or not =X hehe...

I'm getting 55C at 40% with a 4870. Seems like a good balance of noise and temp.
