kirai = don't like
kirei = pretty, beautiful karai = pedas it's kakkoii, not not kakkui. if you have to spell it in romaji. http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?1C http://honyaku.yahoo.co.jp/ |

as stated before it's sugoi, or sugei. don't be alarm if you find in the dictionary sugoi = terrible. it's also used for 'great!' or 'nice!'
QUOTE(asuk @ Aug 19 2008, 02:33 PM) yeah, i always confused kirai with karai, which might end up as if i don't like hot (pedas) food. karai daisuki da yo! |

QUOTE(clemong_888 @ Nov 23 2008, 02:14 PM) i actually think speaking(with the gestures) is harder. there are so many forms of communications. from the normal conversation to the polite(masu) to the very very polite(keigo) and then there's new words invented by people everyday. seriously, who's not in japan that knows the meaning of KY? then of course, there's the slang. try listening to the okinawan slang. its not even japanese hehe, i know what KY means. not the jelly laa for sure. i like the tv show where they ask the contestants slangs and they have to give the full word/meaning of it. at least i did undestand something. like famiresu is family restaurant. hehe...i just got back from japan, stayed for 10 days and had the adventure of a lifetime, again. let see if i have some pics decent enough to share. |

QUOTE(deathbringer @ Nov 24 2008, 06:11 PM) thank you all for the info. read carefully in their website. it is stated there that credit card statement can also use. if there's problem abg janggut there will tell what you need to do. i've had problems with the 'money in the bank' thinggie before. abg janggut told me to get RM8k from friends or parents just to show them. but it has to be YOUR bank account. they will ask you to provide the real account statement for verification. but seriously, it's much easier if have friends or family in japan supernothing, u sure u can just show them ur credit card statements or something instead of ur bank statement? if so, i'm on the very safe side. coz my bank statement is in not such a good state. so on the itinerary, i just list down my "unconfirmed" plans for the day and my "unconfirmed" place of stay? so can i print out the flight deails from the MAS website and hand it to them? sorry guys for asking so many questions. i'm bringing my wife there for a short honeymoon and don't want anything to go wrong. |
