Are there any bus services from Rusutsu Resort to Sapporo or Kutchan (the nearest train station)? Because if I stay there, I intend to travel to Sapporo and Otaru for sightseeing.

Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

There no problem to take bus to Sapporo,The journey will take 1 hour 30 minute or more depends condition on the road like ais bump.Accident almost happen during winter because slippery .Bus stand its front of Hotel Rususut.

You can see some picture at Rususut through this link :http://isjeff2010.fotopages.com/

From Rususut to Kutchan by bus will take 30-40 minutes.

If you from Sapporo Eki to (Niseko)Kutchan Eki..yes there have trains service. But from Rususut..i don't know.

Clemong_888 & Samurai : I've not booked via Yahoo.co.jp before... mind sharing what are the difference with them and his-j.com?

keii-kun: Yeah, dried food or anything which is cooked & packed is fine. Just don't bring in raw meat or any form of raw, unprocessed food.

Buy ticket flight via Yahoo.co.jp..under company HIS.You buy online then print out the details..then at Narita you have to find HIS counter to collect the ticket..then check in...flight by Northwest Airline.

Flight would be best Idea..If you overnight at Chitose Aiport the security guard will chase you out at 12.00am.For another International Airport ..would be fine.

The nearest Hotel at Narita..the lowest around ¥6000 per night

dude, pls do your research. a simple google check will find many of your answers. its definite(almost) possible to take a shinkansen ride there but its far and i think hafta use a ferry? or maybe underwater shinkansen line. i dont think there are any flights from narita to chitose, even if there are its very few. haneda is tokyo's domestic hub. and for the price, we already gave u websites to search, why not go find?
*
Narita Airport to Chitose Airport ..just 2 airlines (JAL and ANA )
