no idea. dont forget that on oceanic, we are the minority. and with the millions of subscriber blizz has, they could really care less

no dc no spike, i get 300-350ish ping, same as what i get in gamepath.

hmm, about the same as vmware fix.

gonna try tonight for raid. will report back.

Just tried it out since tdy noon.. went quite similar to gamepath.. got about 400ish and up to 500ms during 7-10pm and after that about 300ish. Now standing at about 250ms.

normalli i got 600..now sitting at 250-300

Its actually quite good. But a lot less effective in instances though. Any sort of instance. Arenas, BGs, 25-man, 5-man etc. 250-350ms down from usual 500-600.

Not sure whether I should risk playing WoW with tunneling services like this lol.

I am personally using VMWARE fix, so far so good no complaint. Not going to try out any other SSL Tunneling and risk getting banned.
For single core processor user, VMWARE fix can slow down your pc a little. For multi core users, i don't think you will notice any performance issue, due to multi core processor is great at handling multi tasking.

My ping nowdays ranges from 170ms-350ms. Which is much much better from my previous ping which starts from 300ms-900ms. It still very much depend on your line quality. If you get a crappy connection, don't expect a good latency. The 218 ip can usually stay around 200ms-350ms for me.

ive got reports by people that uses this experiencing WORSE ping during arenas/BG

Added on July 17, 2008, 11:09 amusing vmware fix myself, and had been a keen supporter of that fix as it is more "thorough" than the registry fix, no risk involved compared to the tunneling services that does alter ur IP or having an additional fee attached to it.

I am starting to think, Linux is better programmed to handle TCP traffic than windows box. Else, there is no way i can justify why routing traffic thru a VMWare Linux box, has such a significant boost in ping times.

its doable in windows too via registry tweaks. cept i dont want my other programs (eg: torrents/downloads) to be affected by it.

Dammit....can't boot WoW.exe using freecap

Doesn't seem to work for me. Stuck at Authenticating and for some reason while Freecap / Putty is active I can't browse any websites at all.
