I found out from my friend that a developer plans to build the tallest condominium tower in Malaysia. It will be located in KL Sentral. Apparently, it will be above 50 storey’s high with pricing above RM1,000psf.

Anyone had info on this development? I found a link which is quite interesting but doesn’t provide much info :

@clementlam,
I've no information on the development but it being the "tallest" doesn't give it additional benefits to purchasers.

What if there is a fire.

Japanese always look for the lowest floor , though no earthquake in Malaysia.

@SKY 1809,
Hence, being the "tallest" isn't really a selling point, in my opinion.

being the tallest wil give u higher density, and perhaps someone will be happy to own the penthouse at 60th floor.....

The day the lift 'kaput', one can opt to stay at a nearby hotel instead of walking up 60 floors. smile.gif

Back ups in Malaysia always work when there are no needs for them.

@robertngo,
It's not like the developers have a choice; if that is the piece of land they have that's the piece of land they've got to develop.

It looks like it's going to boil down to their Marketing team to create that market tongue.gif

In my opinion, being tall can be quite good. From the website, it states that there will be a sky club on the roof top. The view must be fantastic there! Really eager for this upcoming development.

Can anyone get info on this project? thumbup.gif

second dat... icon_rolleyes.gif

if theree're money to be spent to build higher floors which required stabler foundation and better quality raw materials....why not making a dual tower condo like the figure of klcc??? imagine the 1st twin condo which looked like klcc??? shopping centres to be set under it....making there a biggest swimming pool that goes around the condo...luxurious food stall and top franchise and fast foods stalls. but i bet the price will be so high that only foreigners with high forex can afford it.

Twins look cheap. More top floors instead of one. More tall buildings instead of one.

Worst still, if you lose every things ( standard of livings ) to your friend next door.

Good view at top floor. Sometimes mean living next to heaven, and you are still not happy ( heart break ) , then next choice is to move up to the heaven.

Tall building is good , bcos developer does not have to pay for the air ( land has to ) at top floors.

I thought the trend now is towards creative accounting. Did not know marketing is much more creative !

No wonder, it is still the best paid career in the world.

mm, i would refrain from making huge investment esp in property that cost me so much..

There is no point being the tallest condominium. Very inconvenient.

mm, you dont see the rationale behind tallest?

it's a landmark and for the riches to stay in.

trump tower, they are all so tall.. and sell for 10 mil..

it's tall and has magnificent view, hence, riches would buy it. imagine....

you can see fireworks right outside your balcony..
you can have xxx in your balcony and nobody sees it lol
you dont have to look for a location to commit suicide, just jump...
you can do a small sky dive..

so many goodies biggrin.gif

In my opinion, i think that while the economy and politics of Malaysia may be a bit shaky at the moment, I think that it will pick up year end. And as far as i'm concerned, i do believe that a good value property with good location can always thrive despite economic instability.

year end? i really really doubt so..

even the most optimistic economist predicts US would not recover by end of the year. they reckoned citigroup / merill lynch etc would still report losses for another quarter.

but yeah... if you plan to invest, buy the properties when its low..

however, again, based on malaysiakini public opinion, they believe anwar's sept 16th dateline for taking over the govt will stand. so i wouldnt know how would the political stage turn out..

stay at the top floor is not good for feng shui. better go for somewhere in the middle.
