Why you shouldn't buy cheap HDMI cable

Those who think digital is either it works or not should think twice regarding HDMI cable. Unlike digital audio running on coax or toslink, the bandwidth requirement for HDMI is high. What is important is the build quality. Normally higher gauge wire with good shielding will be consider good build quality. Just don't buy untested unknown origin cable. One of the good source for cheap and good cable is blue jeans cable. I think they mostly use belden cable (reputable cable manufacturer).
