Hi. Earlier I was installing 'Categories' to tidy up my springboard. After using it, 2 unwanted icons appeared on my springboard. I remembered one is called demoapp. And when I wanted to choose apps to go into a category, an uninstalled app came out, called iTruth. Is there anything to clean this up?
I installed BossTool too. After moving ringtone font and app, my space on the 300mb is around 130~199. Is it suppose to be like that?
thanks!

QUOTE DemoApp is that mystery application that coexists in the iPhone's Applications folder along with all the standard apps like Google Maps, Calculator, Stocks, and so forth. We've known for a while that it had something to do with movies but until today, we weren't sure what it did. Today, I can confirm that it does what most people have suspected: it plays a single movie over and over in a repeat loop. It does not, as others hoped, allow you to play video out through your dock. Here's the down and dirty on DemoApp.
Where is DemoApp located? It's found in /Applications. You will not be able to see this application without hacking your iPhone. Locate them using iphonebrowser or some other iphone file browsing system... iTruth is a 3rd party apps... this one also dont have in uninstaller? P/S: I googled that one.... you should be able to do so..... This post has been edited by JasLyn: Jul 9 2008, 08:50 AM

DemoApp is resident at default inside the iPhone IIANM.
To the OP, install Poof. Make sure the version number is the latest. Also heed the warning about taking out all app icons outside of your created Categories, and take out the apps you have hidden before, before you uninstall Categories and Poof.
I'm currently using both the MacOSX theme from iSpazio and Vista Perfection, which requires both Categories and Poof. I basically hide the apps I dont want, which is incidentally, one of them is the DemoApp, the other called FieldTest, and the other one is Contact(named MobileAddressBook).

What is the latest version number? Yeah!! That's it! DemoApp, FieldTest and Contact. It just appears suddenly. So all I need to do is hide it? Won't do any harm right? And.. If I wanted to uninstall categories, do I need to show(unhide?) it as well(those 3 mentioned)?

They asked me to make sure its the latest version(v1.70). I only see 1.11. Once I downloaded 1.11 Poof, they say I can update Poof from 'Categories'. But it doesn't seem to update or any buttons to make it update
