For those who are thinking of getting this, like what Stringfellow said - its a damn good 5.1 headphone with excellent surround sound. BUT if you want a headphone with super duper bass, then this is not the right one for you. Tested CLOVERFIELD on this last nite and I must say - its a whole new movie experience. My only disappointment is when the actions get too loud - the bass and all become an earful of "noise" and depending on your volume selected, it might even give you some popping sound. Sorry for my layman terms - am just a guy who enjoys movie and giving an honest opinion to others here interested in this headphone. But other things like people walking in the background, distant voices and choppers flying above you - its top notch.

In case you are wondering, I had the base connected directly to my PS3 via the Optical Cable that came with the unit. Make sure you choose the right audio output option on your PS3 settings if you are not receiving any signals.
